A Weekend in Pittsburgh... What to do and see!

I call Pittsburgh my Second City to NYC & Heilbronn, Germay

Shadyside only has that Festival once a year, and with all the homes etc, you can never find a place to park. Totally overpriced part of Town. Better off spending time at Kennywood where you'll have a good time, then head out to a restaurant you found has good reviews. I do agree, The Strip is a great place for Saturday, but if the crowds too much, Sunday could work too.

Yes, Primanti's sucks. It's over-rated. Thanks for telling it like it is and not giving it the obligatory props that many feel the need to.
And unless you are between 21 and 24 avoid the South Side at all costs. It's amateur hour.

Seriously Pittsburgh is an amazing city, Randyland, Mexican War Streets, Market Square, The Strip, Carrie Furnace not far away. It's a city made up of so many different neighborhoods with all sorts of diversity and vibes. Frick Park, Phipps Conservatory, The Aviary, Point State Park etc. There's always something going on in the city.

It's worth visiting the Mexican War streets, the neighborhood has so many beautiful streets with restored brownstones. Commonplace Coffeehouse is my goto for good java and a walk down Jacksonia St. takes you to Randyland, you can't miss it. My favorite neighborhood bar is the Monterey Pub. Walking across the 6th St. Bridge is a good view if you don't mind the "Aztec Gold" paint job. And don't pass up the Andy Warhol Museum. Nicky's Thai Kitchen on Penn is always enjoyable for dinner.

The Primanti Bros around Pittsburgh are horrible. I've hit one in Erie and WV and they are so much better. Every time I've hit a Pittsburgh area one the service has been horrible and the food nowhere near as well prepared.
