When l first adopted my 6 month old rescue cat, she'd chew electrical cords. Nothing worked. Then, l read this tip: Unplug the cord, make a paste out of water and pepper, wipe on the cord, and let dry. So, l tried it. After a few more tries at chewing, and a hot mouth, she quit chewing for good!

They can get whisker fatigue from eating out of deep bowls but not from cleaning themselves you say, sounds fishy to me. Self cleaning litter boxes are the best way to increase your veterinary visits for fixing the problem with self cleaning litter boxes.

I installed lattice over the screens on my porch. My cats can't get out of there, but love to sit in the windowsills.

I'm going to put a screen door between the porch and the house with a an opening so they can come and go onto the porch as they like.

I rolled up a three foot wide carpet scrap and tied it with a sisal rope, then fastened it to a sturdy hook on the wall. They can run and jump up with all four feet. They love it!

For non-spill bowls I just buy small weighted non-spill dog bowls. My cat loves to spill his water.

A hack I do: a mesh bag filled with crumped packing paper. I call it his crunchy bed. If he throws up, I can wash the mesh laundry bag and replace the paper.

cats PH must be acidic, baking soda gets on their feet they lick it off this causes their PH to go Alkaline and causes UTIs and Crystal formation and blockages that could lead to your cats death ..

baking soda is a Base not an Acid .. it will cause your cats PH to become Alkaline causing major issues for your kitty
instead try this .. mix 99% rubbing alcohol and white vinegar in a bottle .. when you change out litter for the fresh litter wipe down the inside of the litter box with the alcohol and vinegar solution .. let dry real quick then refill with your favorite brand of litter .. this will kill the bacteria that causes the ammonia smell

My cat degloved the tip of her tail somehow. The vet did what they could but the Cone-of-shame didn't last the first night. The bandage didn't last through the second day. Well I tried cat pheromones and it really works great. Calms her down good.

While I like the idea of DIY hacks, some of the tips in this video might not be the safest option for cats. For example, using homemade solutions like vinegar to spray on wires to stop cats from chewing could cause irritation to pets or may not be as effective as expected. Also, building a 'catio'.

Use wood pellets for cat litter. But instead of buying it in the pet section of places like Walmart, buy unflavored wood fuel pellets or equine (horse) bedding, instead. It's the same thing, but much cheaper! I just found out about this today.

I wabt a catio, but these are all out of my budget.

I started to give my cat "cool" treats in the summer then someone told me cats naturally dont like eating anything cool or cold because its an instinct they got so in the wild they dont eat an old kill that might be rotting and going bad. Cats instincts tell them to eat "warm" food which is freshly killed so they dont get sick. I dont know it made sense to me when my friend told me

Please do not advertise the automatic litter box. As others have said they can be dangerous if the cat gets locked in.
Just use any normal litter box and remove mess daily. Then change the litter every 2/3 days. Happy cat and no chance of any danger!
