Jokes on you, it’s not coming out till 2026 or 2027
ОтветитьI really don’t care about how long it will take for the game to come out, nor do I care if the game is average, I’m probably still going to like it.
ОтветитьI think Bethesda's two upcoming projects would have been the remastered edition and the most recent Dishonored 2
ОтветитьElder Scrolls VI confirmed...
ОтветитьThe reason we're waiting until 2019 or 2020 is because of the wicher 3 that game set the bar pretty high and Bethesda needs to make elder scrolls 6 better than the wicher 3
ОтветитьI'm guessing that The Elder Scrolls VI will be released in 2019 at the earliest (maybe for the series 25th anniversary), and 2022 at the latest.
ОтветитьI don't think I can wait 10-11 years for another TES game. Unless they let another company do with TES like they let Obsidian do with New Vegas and give us a TES to fill the gap. And Skyrim Remastered doesn't count.
Ответитьis it possible that they just said that Bethesda said that they are working on the these other two projects but really just said that so when they release the game way early it will blow our minds
ОтветитьIf 2022 is the release date that seems crazy to me because that's a 11 year wait gap.... I'm only 14 that's like waiting my whole life as of now to get a elder scrolls game oh my!
ОтветитьTo think it might be 9-10 years between Skyrim and Elder Scrolls VI is rather disheartening. As Elder Scrolls is one of my favourite game series, having to wait another 4-5 years to play the next instalment is disappointing. However, I am excited to see Bethesda create some new IP as well and get to flex their creative muscles even more so. Therefore I'm content to wait provided the games they make and release in between are worthy experiences in their own right.
ОтветитьWell, I'm actually glad about the wait. I'm still playing Fallout 4 (my first Fallout game), plus Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will probably eat up at least a year on its own. While I might be complaining around 2018/2019, I will have Skyrim Remastered to satisfy me. So I'm not that worried about it, at least not yet.
Also, as I'd never played Fallout before and I'm not usually one for games with guns in them (I know, shocking in today's gaming trends), I wasn't really sure what to expect. I heard the hype about Fallout, but I didn't think it was a game I would enjoy as I tend to prefer the fantasy setting. I actually love the game, but I do have my issues with it based on what I've experienced with the Elder Scrolls franchise.
Additionally, as someone's who's computer is being pushed to it's limits right now, I'm also glad for the wait as I'd already decided that I would wait to see the specs for TESVI before building a new rig. This gives me time to save up (and for prices to come down).
I do wonder if they are looking at opening all of tamriel or the daedra lands in the next game and linking them somehow, hence the wait. But then again I could be wrong. Would be a very big open world(s).
ОтветитьTo be fair, Todd Howard didn't say the other 2 games would come out before ES 6. He said and I quote "people will probably here about those, even before ES 6." Which to me means we may hear about those other projects before ES6 .(as in they will not do a Fallout 4 reveal of those games) But perhaps ES 6 will have that same Fallout 4 style release. So basically we may here of those other games first, but ES6 may release before 1 or both of the other 2 games...
ОтветитьNuka world and skyrim remastered are probably the big projets
Ответить2023? jesus christ. 11 years? fuck the other games just do TES.
ОтветитьI think the more important point to make is how 1000 employees can make a total shit game. I think Bethesda can do better keeping it small. It helps keep lines of communication simple. That's what makes smaller companies efficient. Nowhere does it say more manpower equals a better product - just a faster product.
ОтветитьI have an inkling The Elder Scrolls VI will have VR aspects and I am totally fine with waiting for that....feeling like I fully immerse myself into Tamriel, HELL YEAH! He said that the main reason they aren't releasing anytime soon is because they don't have the technology for TESVI.... are my expectations too high...?? My expectations are too unrealistic aren't they.....but I mean....if they aren't doing THAT, what else could take so long?! cue imagination running wild
ОтветитьBethesda, PLEASE don't rush. I'd rather have another masterpiece in 2021 than an unfinished game in 2018.
ОтветитьThe issue is that TES games are supposed to be time absorbing games with long winded quests and consequences to your actions with meaningful and very visible changes in the world but Bethesda seem to have other ideas.
They want to sell their games to John Citizen who works 7 days of the week from 9 to 5 and only has 5 minutes to play before he has to go to bed and Bethesda believe that this person doesn't have the patience to appreciate a good story and just wants their 5 minutes of mindless fun so they can zerg out in front of the screen and forget there worries, Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 4 are evidence of this; just look at the quest formats!
I really think they have the wrong idea and they are getting a seriously inflated ego from all the hype kiddies. If you have less time to play than the average basement dwelling slacker i seriously find it hard to believe you wont enjoy a complex, long winded and immersive game If anything you would probably appreciate it more than the no lifers.
1. Bethesda specifically stated both of these games are larger than anything they have ever done.
2. 2 studios means they can reasonably work on 2 games at a time which means they most likely won't even start ES6 until the other 2 games are in the late stages of production.
3. I don't feel there is cause for concern until we can get more info as a whole.
The reason most people I know were disappointed with Fallout 4 wasn't because they expected too much, it's because they expected the same quality of writing and roleplay immersion as previous entries in the series.
Ответить"IT JUST WORKS"
Ответитьpushing the line? No. A 2022 release date is taking the line and throwing it down the damn cliff.
ОтветитьYou should make a new video called "Before I get around to it," which is nothing but prolog.
Ответитьbethesda most likely already started elder scrolls 6 before elder scrolls 5 was already released and fallout 4 was in development back right before fallout 3
ОтветитьI'll be 18 by the time ES VI gets out... in 2022... ;-;
I know I am too young to be here, I just love ES lore!
Personally I don't mind if they push TES6 further done than 2023, since I play Bethesda's games on PC which gives me enough user generated content to keep on playing them (Between the 3 TES and Fallout games I think I can occupy myself till the day I die already). What I am very much worried is your point 2 since Skyrim already feels like Bethesda half-assing a lots of things on top of the engine being complete garbage for mods and the game need at least another year to flesh out all their ideas.
Seriously, the 4 guilds' questline all being a major step down from Oblivion counterpart (Mage guild from 4 feels epic, Thieve's guild was genuinely funny, and Dark Brotherhood was a pretty good suspense thriller. The only one that feel mediocre was Fighter's guild), Thieve's guild's development as you complete more repeatable quest and collecting trophies in Skyrim was a very cool idea to utilize their radient quest system that sadly didn't got implemented in the other three (I can understand Dark Brotherhood since it got destroyed again like in 4 and to a lesser extend College since Nord doesn't like magic, but you'd think they can implement it for Companions).
The whole Civil War quest line is a huge waste of time despite it being supposedly important. You just follow a linear set of quest for either faction, do a bunch of go to Fort and kill respawn enemies till you win and a few static story mission. Guaranteed victory for your faction with no tension whatsoever while both side just decided: It's okay Dragonborn, we'll just sit tight with our thumb up our asses while you go do whatever you want till you come back to do our jobs for us.
And there's genuinely wasted potential in the 'destroy Dark Brotherhood' route where you just have one quest to kill them all. They should make an alternate route where player join Penitus Oculutus, Secret Agents VS Assassins, how cool is that idea? I guess Bethesda didn't want this to interfere with Civil War quest line but honestly they can easily made more variable working this into the quest line to add some replay value: If you are in the secret service and with Empire, you can do some secret sabotage mission, and if you are with Stormcun... I mean Stormcloak you can play a set of alternate mission as a double agent and feed Empire false information and secretly sabotage them.
Thalmor themselves are basically Altmer Enclave... who in term are basically American Nazis so they are essentially the derivative of a derivative and boring as hell (I know there's supposed to be some backstory about their gods or something bullshit but that didn't get show in the actual game story itself so it doesn't count). Would be more interesting if Bethesda actually made Aldmeri Dominion come with benevolent intention instead of a bunch of irredeemable cutthroats but men and mer simply can't come to the same agreement due to their different point of view. But of course this is Bethesda and they can't make faction with depth to save their lives I don't know why I expect such impossible thing from them. From Empire VS Stormcloak it's so obvious their idea of a conflict with depth is to make both side assholes and you just choose who you think is the lesser asshole.
Granted, the game is still fun as hell if I just go 'fuck it' to all the quest and just start playing it like a fantasy life simulator (huge reason why Hearthfire end up being my favorite DLC), or start to play some of the user made quests. But with Bethesda's paid mod fiasco, and how poorly they are handling the console modding scene right now I'm not sure there'll still be a robust modding community left once TES6 hit Steam.
I think that part of what's going on here is the Witcher 3. That game essentially set a new gold standard, and whatever the release schedule they'd previously set, they'll need extra time to compete.
Ответить"11 years is too long for a sequel"
what about half life 3
Bethesda is however becoming like other developers. Look at Fallout 4 - they removed 20% of the completed game to sell it separately as DLC. A dick-move like that I'd expect from EA but Bethesda? Times are changing.
ОтветитьI'll be playing ES6 with my grandkids.
ОтветитьBethesda games have been mediocre for years. Hopefully taking some more time they might make a modern game decent.
ОтветитьThey want to get more mileage out of ESO.
ОтветитьI get what your saying but im gonna trust bethesda for right now. and for the whole waiting situation since I cant controll it im just gonna play the crap out of skyrim remastered, elder scrolls online, elder scrolls legends, fallout 4 and the dlc's, and the 2 new ips untill elder scrolls 6 is announced so the wait isnt as painful
ОтветитьHearing 2020 an realizing I will be 28 then gave me a fucking panic attack
Ответить2022? The Elder Scrolls VI better be damn good. I mean it.
ОтветитьHere's why this is probably a good thing:
We've reached a point where Bethesda will need extensive new approaches in their design plan, in order to produce a TES game with anything new to offer. With Skyrim, they've fully attained their goal of turning TES into a streamlined action experience, and there is now nothing whatsoever remaining for them to do along that vein. To make a TES 6 right now would be a relatively monotonous process of making Skyrim for a second time. They'll need time to think (possibly broadening their horizons with the other projects), shaking things up before approaching it from a fresh new angle.
This is nothing to complain about. Releasing at a later date means they will have more time to focus on the game, and we will have more powerful hardware then, so better graphics for their game.
ОтветитьDude do you have any idea the amount of work it takes to create these types of games? Just enjoy skyrim and fallout 4, no need to keep rushing from game to game. And how can you worry about quantity over quality yet simultaneously complain about how long its going to take for it to be finished?
Ответить11 years is a long time. When The Elder Scrolls VI comes out, we'll overhype it, and in the end it will probably suck.
ОтветитьYour comment that Bethesda has tripled their workload is incorrect. Bethesda has always worked on more than one large project at a time as well as often several other smaller projects. This is pretty typical
ОтветитьIt was never said these two other games will be coming out before TES VI, Todd said we "may" hear about them before we hear about TES, implying that right now they are working on them simultaneously and that TES is not being pushed back by these games, but instead by technology limitations as he went on to say.
ОтветитьIt's been 5 years and won't likely come out this year so probably a minimum of 6 years so i don't think their is going to be much of an issue with quality.
ОтветитьOkay I have afew things to say about this: 1. The gaps between Elder scrolls titles have allways slightly increased from game to game and that so far hasn't been a problem. 2. Modern Software used by artists to create game ready content is FAR more powerful and in some departments WAY quicker than 5 years ago, Quixel Suite aswell as Substance Designer+Painter have speed up the texturing process by an immense amount. 3. They probably will outsource artwork to Freelance artists decreasing the workload on their studio. So in Conclusion I would not be too worried about the release date - I would worry more about the simplified, worn one mgiht even say dumbed down Gameplay mechanics they introduced for skyrim to make it console friendly.
Ответитьidk, complaining about when the next game is going to be released seems kinda entitled. its not like they actually owe you anything, its not as if they launched a kickstarter campaign and stole your money... hell they don't even need to make an Elder Scrolls 6, its their IP they can do with it whatever they want
ОтветитьI don't mind waiting for a game, i can just buy from other developers and enjoy the other games out there. its not like Bethesda is the only company i spend money on
ОтветитьJesus Christ ill graduate in 2020 noooooooooo
ОтветитьYou're worrying over nothing. TE6 won't run on current gen consoles or mainstream PCs (very well). Plot and character design are already underway. The team is just working on these other projects, which will also be pretty great, until retail technology catches up.
Ответитьim probably wrong but what if theyre working on a a es6 with vr like fallout vr
ОтветитьBethesda is the only company that can release sub-par games and get away with it especially now that mods are on coming to current gen. They can rely on fans putting in the work they won't to fix things that are broken.
Ответить
