I really enjoyed your video and the information that you have provided. I need help with my Benjamina Tree. The leaves are drying up and falling off the tree. I was told to water it once a week and I called the place where I purchased the tree and they advised me to water it twice a week instead of once a week. That seemed to make the problem worse and the leaves are dies and falling off in larger amounts. Please help! The tree was beautiful when I first got it but after about 30 days with me, it looks so sad. I thought that it was just going through a transition period because it was trying to get use to to it's new home.

In the video, you have mentioned many times that not to over water ZZ plants, but why is it ok to put stems in water for months without roots rot?

Hjälp! i re-planted a ZZ in a much larger pot inside a room with occasional afternoon sun through one window. First the plant grew with new stems double the size of the old ones and lighter green, so they started curling out. I put a thread around them to keep them more upright, balancing each other. Eventually the new leaves started turning yellow, and I watered them more due to my ignorance...
Now the ZZ is half of the original size with half of the stems leaves yellow, some green with brown tops and many rhizomes popping out from the soil.
Can I save it? Should I put a layer of soil to cover the rhizomes?

I love my ZZs, I have a regular and a Raven. The Reg I saw in a stare and liked it right away. But I actually got one after I found a video you made about careing for them. Since then I managed to get two new plants from leaves, following your instructions. It took about 7-months but now they both have grown new stems and are 6-8 inches tall, so far. The Raven I got 5-6 months ago, on the way home a stem got damaged so I tried to get some of the leaves to grow, they rotted and died. The original pot they were in split and I had to re-pot, while doing so I found two small tubers, only one had a stem, in amungst some of the soil that came off . I potted them separately. There are now new stems just showing above the soil.
Like I said I love these ZZs and I love your videos just as much. Thank you.

Hi. Can I propogate zz plant with leaves? Today I got one full branch of zz plant but stem does not have roots. So how to grow this without roots. Mean to say if I place the stem in the soil or only in water will it form roots? Thanks in advance.

I have had a zz Raven about two years now and I only see it grow in the summer when I put it outside. I purchased my first ZZ plant from Etsy and I am thrilled. It was so root bound, I thought I would have to cut the pot. It was so bound I was afraid to seperate it so I loosened the soil, and gave it a nice fresh, nutritious bed of media to live in for a long time.

Very comprehensive!! 🎉 I saw a ZZ plant with black marks on the stem and thought something wrong with it. LOL 🤣

I learned today AFTER repotting zz is actually an AROID 😮
Good thing I used homemade aroid mix... I did use a pot pot, several sizes larger but I used styrofoam in the bottom which I do frequently when I size up like that.
Would love to do straight pumice but you can't find it anywhere in bulk amounts for a good price :(

I have a rescue zz plant that has been outside in direct sunlight and is very moist (not wet). It was also completely covered in lice. A lot of the leafs are yellow. Will they return to green or will they die off? The plant is too big to repot, so I can't do that. I had to hose it down to get most of the bugs off and sprayed it with neem oil water and wiped down every leaf. Does anyone have any tips on how to help this plant get better?

Only 5 minutes in and I keep giving my Raven the eye because she doesn't look anything like she's supposed to. Seems like I did her really dirty, but I'm gonna make her thrive. <3

In conclusion, if its getting yellow leaves it might be too much or not enough fertilizer, too much light, or too much or not enough water :/

It is VERY sparse, BUT, still alive!!!😅 I'm going to "try" to repot in a smaller pot and give it another chance 😁
