It way be an abomination, but it’s smart. Throughout this chapter it works strategically from the shadows (thought the game developers don’t make it very clear). The Prototype pushes both you and Poppy to safe Haven to inspire mistrust in Doey. Doey is the only character in the game far as we know who can match the prototype physically. It fears him just as much as it fears you, so as a way to eliminate you both, he gets both you and Doey to fight. How best to do that?
