This video convinced me to buy one yesterday - good move! I really love it already. Thanks for another stellar review!
ОтветитьHi! Does it sequence cc’s?
ОтветитьGreat review as usual. With the 1.2 firmware version, it seems like CC is added, making T1 much more desirable :-)
ОтветитьThis is interesting but I wonder if it's a bit too direct or low level? I am thinking of how to apply the ideas of Emily Short's "Five Strategies for Collaborating With a Machine" to generative music. Maybe some poetic abstractions layered on top of the math would help with creativity?
ОтветитьThere’s been a ton of updates to the T-1. Would you consider doing an update video for you loyal Patron supporters?! 🙏🏼
ОтветитьNice video like always. Sorry, but can you save personal pattern ? and recall in live situation...
ОтветитьThe most innovative function of the Teenage Engineering OP-Z is that
all the tracks are independent so we can change any parameter (tempo or bpm etc....) of any 16 tracks/channels independently.
My question is:
Does this fully independent channel thing work also on this unit? as on the
OP Z?
Let me know please. thx
Is it possible to make longer sequences then 16 steps? 64 mavbe? Or chaining them at least? Thx
ОтветитьThanks for this awesome video. Best one about Torso T1!
Would you please tell me what program are you using to see the Midi notes above the T1? Is that some kind of piano roll view?
Is this product available for purchase...? where can I buy... ?
Ответитьgreat video, an iinteresting product
ОтветитьI hate this chip shortage. It's seems like every time I find something that I want, it's either not available, or it's being price gouged by greedy resellers. I want the Hapax, but due to it not being available, I'm probably getting the Pyramid or OXI One. This would be a contender, but the only thing available is pre-order. I don't want to spend that much, and then wait until whenever. I could deal with waiting a month, but it seems that there's no guarantee when things get to you.
ОтветитьWhat do you think about the new version clickless?? I think is relevant or do you prefer the original one?
ОтветитьWhat’s the midi visualizer software you are using? Very cool.
ОтветитьThis vs NDLR vs Squarp pyramid. Thoughts?
ОтветитьHi Great vid how do you configure the midi connectivity, or It just plug and play, I plan to connect it with the my rytm
thanks.
Interesting that in current version there are 8 groove patterns and not 16 anymore. I would think the more the better.
ОтветитьI've been trying to figure out how to create sequences with pitch per step, I guess cycles might be able to do that?
ОтветитьMight be a silly...but i can use this to sequence multiple drum machines at the same time ...yes? I was looking at a beatstep...but the beatstep seems limited to only one drum track...the other two tracks being melodic....unless I'm wrong? Please step in at anytime.....anyone....
ОтветитьThis is very cool. This is now at the top of my 2023 “must buy” list.
ОтветитьAny plans for an updated review? Seems like an interesting thing.
ОтветитьAlbert van Abbe uses this one - great sound artist with huge ideas. Thanks again for this awesome review and tutorial ^^!
ОтветитьThis looks absolutely fucking dope. And just reading another comment they actually changed the pots to detented like loopop suggested! I would have wanted that since i've developed various sequencing work flows with midi controllers and a smooth pot is just a bit too much of a wild card for this kind of thing the detents are great coz you keep a little track of where you are. It looks so fantastic I have to get it. I think I will pair it with an access virus. But I also want to pair it with a hands on knobby multi timbral drum module and I can't think what would be best for that. I been searching for a while and was tempted to build a eurorack one coz nothing seems to do what I want but I always shy away because I like using presets I think it lets me audition a wider variety of sounds faster and therefor get to where I want quicker.
Ответитьwhat would happen if you combined this with the theoryboard? 😮😮
ОтветитьI have sold most of my sequencers since getting this. Its truly genius for hands on people who hate menus. Huge respect for all of the magic they have worked since release, they certainly listened. All we could ask for is 8 cv/gates.
Ответитьhow and where to get the screen above T1 showing the notes?
ОтветитьSomeone should make this in Drambo, seems like a match made in heaven
Ответитьsnapshot or lockmode ,Ableton ,Bitwig live setup bouncing etc...I dont really understand but looks promise....thx for showing...
ОтветитьThis review needs an update, it's so different now.
Ответитьholy these multiple track sequencers are the most creative instruments!
ОтветитьThey accent multiple tracks in different ways with so much speed.
ОтветитьIs random per track or global?
ОтветитьJust got one and its really fun.
The final product has couple different labels compared to the ones in this video like slices became cycles, melody became range, etc. They listen to Loopop cos the buttons have now steps and not just continuous. Usb-c is there as well. When a manufacturer modifies its product after listening loopop, that s where you know this guy rocks… 😂😂
I think a solo function would be really cool to quickly isolate a track instead of muting all others.
Update: theres now up to 64 steps per track (latest firmware 2.0.x)
This T-1 looks so difficult to learn - I can imagine buying it and selling it because it’s too complicated to use (like the Roland J-6 aria compact 😭)
Ответитьyou can connect via ableton Link ?
can you set it up thru ? so if I plug another sequencer in the midi IN a can reach the ipad via the my first sequencer ?
@loopop Thank -you for all the awesome content! you probably won't read this after 3 years now... but, is it possible to capture the midi data from the T-1? I wanted to possibly pair it with a maschine+ and roundtrip the data back into a maschine pattern to further edit. Is that even possible?
ОтветитьLet’s see a vid on the S-4 man
ОтветитьAnyone know how to get the T-1 controlling individual drums on a Roland boutique TR-09 like in this video? Every time I hit play on the Torso, it just plays one of the sequences programmed into my Tr-09. I can’t get individual control.
ОтветитьLooks like Pamela pro workout, right?
ОтветитьThis is such an amazing channel that right now makes my want the OXI One and Torso t1
And I cannot really say which one is right for me 😅
Can someone help me ?
Kinda wish you waited until it was done. Did you do a follow up video?
ОтветитьI have a T1 setup with my Digitakt but somehow Ive not been able to program chords. Each time I try to make a chord in PITCH mode I only hear the highest note of the chord so if its a CEG chord I only hear the G instead of the whole chord. I use a internal sample of the Digitakt.
Can you explain why this doesn`t work?
where as this unit is not for me I must compliment the narrator for an excellent presentation
ОтветитьI'd love it if Ziv would do an updated version of this video. It has been shipping for a while with lots of firmware updates and it would be awesome to repeat all this with the feature updates.
ОтветитьSeems the end products Voicing knob works differently than this. Instead of adding octaves it’s transposing
Ответить.....I've noticed after buying a lot of different gear over the years..... the stuff I end up still using...and connecting with......either had no screen ie the T-1...OPZ....or a small relatively inconsequential one....Deluge...Typhon....Tenori-on...etc...I found looking at screens distracting....so the less I use my eyes....the more I use my ears....eyes are about the outside...ears are about the inside...where the imagination is....imo...
ОтветитьYou should do a review for the s-4, it’s an incredible sample mangler and I would to see it reviewed in you in-depth video style.
ОтветитьHoly shit. I was looking at getting a Korg SQ 64, but this thing looks amazing (and also 2x as expensive oof)
ОтветитьWhy did they put the function buttons on the right side? Makes no sense because most people are right handed… you want your most dominant hand to turn the knobs not press a button…
Ответить
