Concordia: Venus - Shut Up & Sit Down Playthrough!

I'm glad board games can bring normality to the table.

i played concordia, tried to like it, but other than MILD, unintentional blocking, or snagging a card someone was eyeing, there is very little player interaction and not even the slightest conflict. The game plays smooth as all get out, but i didn't feel it offered enough to keep me interested.

What ever happened to Kylie? I’m assuming she’s no longer a part of SU&SD.

You might need to do it a few times for it all to work right. It's a different way of thinking.

Once again, I find myself at the end of 38 hours awake, lying in bed having not spoken a word for days, watching people who are friends with other people having fun playing games together. At least I have my cat.

Coming to this late I know but even just watching the opening turns it really crystallises how much Venus (team) adds. So many nice synergies: Mercator for both players means that you're not always frustratedly having to sell one resource to buy another. Architecting in the same city as your partner to exponentially increase the output when prefecting. The nice blocking afforded by Diplomat play. So much more than I anticipated just reading the rules cold.

Great playthrough. This game is on my wishlist along with Five Tribes.

Colonists don't have to be played in other cities. You can still play to Roma/Athens.

I am sure Twilight is a great game but this play through was so much more fun to watch/listen to. Very entertaining, great chemistry and those cookies look great i want some.

Illustrates the ridiculous end-scoring of Concordia: nobody knows how they did until a basic arithmetic course at the end. Thanks for the playthrough though.

This game's actual rules and mechanics were inscrutable to me and I don't actually think it was an interesting game to watch, but I still had it on in the background for three hours because it was so fun to watch.
Matt and Quinns have great chemistry and you can tell they're good friends, but having only the two of them can be a bit sad, so it's great to see when there's a full roster of players in a game.

It took me an hour before I realized Ava is wearing a No face dress ^^

Great playthrough as usual, I loved the synergy in this one. Kylie really needed the free food/brick houses in Achaia/Laconia which I think would have given team Pringles Katt the win.
