Ginger makes an Entrance - Gold Diggers Of 1933

A scene from Gold Diggers of 1933, a Pre-Code film starring Joan Blondell, Ruby Keeler, Aline MacMahon and Ginger Rogers, who makes an entrance here as she comes to tell the girls - who are out of work during the Depression hit 1930's - of a new show on to audition for. It's not the first scene you see Ginger Rogers in - she's at the start of the film in the number "We're in the Money" - but it's still a scene with great dialogue. When Ginger says "If Barney could see me in clothes...", Aline replies "He wouldn't recognize you!" She then strips Ginger of her dress, even giving her bum a quick slap when she complains, before Ginger leads Joan Blondell (now in the dress) off to impress the producer of the new show. Blondell's last line here is also an eye opener!
