Apple iPad Mini 2024 release date in Q1 - 7th generation to get M1?!

As an employee who commutes by bike, this would be my dream.
iPad Mini M1 + Stage Manager = No need to carry a Macbook for 90% of my tasks.

Wish list is some kind of mini led screen at least implementing a 90hz refresh screen as well as a better resolution. A machine like that would be so useful for productivity, and media consumption!

128gb Storage on the iPad Mini would make sense and 120hz would make sense as well saying people made a big deal about the jelly scroll I know it's on Apple's mind. For the processor the M1 chip could go into it but most likely the A16 would be put into it.

I want to buy an iPad mini. But to buy a 2021 model in the middle of 2023? On the other hand, if mini 7 will appear only in H1 2024... 🤔 Any pieces of advise?

Been waiting for a better spec’d mini to get one. It’s differentiation can’t just be it’s size. Come on Apple.

At this point a Silicon Chip is required, with iPadOS 17 enabling UVC external camera to be used instead of the in body camera, we need more processing power to open a wealth of possibilities.

There seems to be a desire for some kind of "Mini Pro" iPad and while I think the current screen size is too small for the kinds of creator apps used on Pro, I think there could be room for two small sized iPads. Basically, keep the current design at a lower price and release a more expensive "Pro" version that has: a cut down M1 chip, a slightly bigger screen/size (i.e. 9"), a 90 or 120 Hz display, Face ID, while also having a better camera and 128GB, with 6GB RAM as the base model. It would probably bump the price up $200 at least, while the 6th Gen can continue being sold for the old 5th Gen price for another few years. That way both ideals can be met, as there are also people for whom the 6th Gen is perfectly adequate but who would normally want to spend less.
