Cicada-Covered Rhododendron - Brood II Cicadas in NJ - HD

Here is some more footage of the Brood II cicadas covering the rhododendron. There are hundreds covering the bushes in my front yard alone. There is an incoming heat wave, so things should pick up once again. That's been the case the past five or so days, with a couple of cooler days, and then warmer days. But now, things should really pick up as we start this heat wave.

What is interesting is the chorus that's going on in the background. It can't be too far from where I am, but there is an area that must have had a massive emergence of cicadas because they are singing. I would think they should start singing here within the next couple of days.

This is definitely the most we've had on the bushes and such since the first emergence, though.
