I remember as a kid I got a call while I was with friends and found out my mom had overdosed and passed away while. I went with my brother and his stepmom to see family in another state and the entire ride there I listened to Matchbox 20. We stopped at one of those interstate stores and I bought a blanket to stay warm overnight. I can remember being curled up in the back seat, under the blanket listening to matchbox 20 and doing everything I could to not let anyone hear me crying. They've remained my most listened to and favorite band ever since. Part of me loves being able to find refuge in their music because no matter how much I listen to it it never is overplayed. The other part really wishes the rest of the world would wake up to mb20 and they had to cult following bands like rhcp has.

I used to use this bands music when I was having a bad day to feel better as a teenager but now as a recovering heroin addict this music makes me feel better than as a teenager and means so much more thanks for helping through so many rough times in my life 😢

Hell, I'm 63 and this is still some of the best music I know, and I grew up in the golden age of rock.

Still my favorite song! Can't get myself to go away...!

It's currently 8:45 a.m. and this reminded me of the time when my friend was in deep turmoil and was very depressed one way I helped is just to be there just to hug them and tell them that everything is going to be okay and when they would be really really sad and really really depressed I would sing long day to them no guitar just my voice it was great and she's doing okay I helped many friends with the song I've helped many friends with a lot of the songs from Matchbox twenty.

I also want to say something to you later I hope you're having a good day if you're not having a good day try and make it better I know it may be hard but "blue does equal sadness on the color spectrum but remember blue has the shortest wavelength" and if you're having a good day try and spread the joy to others.
