A person cannot “look expensive” unless their services are for sale. Objects can “look expensive” because they are bought and sold. One correct title would be “How to look wealthy.” Example: Wealthy people can afford to buy expensive clothing, jewelry, shoes and handbags. Correct use of words is a major factor when you want to present yourself as wealthy. Perhaps the author of the title does not speak English as a native l language.

I often find brand new items with the tags on them for less than 80% of the original price tag.
I found a beautiful pink fuzzy dress bran new for $ 5.99 and a pair of bran new white shorts for $3.99
I watch several videos on how to dress to look polish on a budget.
Two women helped me me to realize that thrifting was a gold mine are Ann Maring and Iman.
Ann told me to start at a thrift store since I was 18 and living at home and not yet employed.
Iman did an interview once, and she was shopping for accessories for her runway fashion looks.
I have save so much money on quality clothing and accessories thrifting.
My favorite thrift stores are connected to community organization that help people and animals.

Stylish sunglasses are not possible when one needs prescription glasses to see! Attractive prescription sunglasses are expensive and have to be changed every time your prescription changes. Might be different in the US but that's the story here in the UK.

Women don't need to look expensive...looking good at any age is about the total package. Well groomed ... hair, nails nicely manicured ... just a polished look. Clothes just need to be well put together and kept simple. And the most important thing is to be classy... some women look OK till they open their mouth.

Hmmm looks like priority #1 to "looking expensive" is to be fit and healthy, with good posture. Of course, all of that requires having money for healthy foods, living in a location that is safe for walking and exercise. So, not all that easy for many people.

My entire wardrobe is consignment, thrifted, second hand, whatever you want to call it. All I know is I look fabulous, especially during the Fall/Winter months. I'm currently in Chicago where the best shops can be found. Salvation Army has a store which sells clothes and accessories by the pound @$1.29!! Absolutely marvelous period.

Clothes should be well ironed. Crumpled and creased attire is a strict no-no

The best part is that is made in Paris and has an expensive label embroidered on the lining , and the price was $89,00 Whenever I wear this coat I get looks and comments it’s vintage at its best
