Can I use apf for this recipe?
ОтветитьI love my version it’s so easy peasy no hands on time and the loaf bread I make is soft and fluffy with my recipe! Delicious 😋
ОтветитьHi what’s the maximum time I can leave in the fridge 😊
ОтветитьHi what’s the maximum time I can leave it in the fridge because of work 😊
ОтветитьYour linen bowl hat....it goes in the bowl flour the linen then put the dough in that. Lol
ОтветитьThis is best non-overwhelming video! Can't wait to start my first sourdough loaf!!
ОтветитьBut is your loaf crust really hard when baked? I'm told you need e.g. some olive oil in the ingredients to try to keep the crust from baking to rock hard. An ordinary bread knife and even my electric knife really struggles to cut through the crust of my loaves, and they have the same ingredients as your recipe i.e. sourdough starter, water, salt, and bread flour. Please dont think I'm being critical, Im just trying to figure out why my crusts are so hard. The next time I bake, I'll be adding oil to the dough, but it's kind of putting me off trying again.
ОтветитьThis is the only video that has not confused me, so thank you! Do I have to have to parchment paper?
ОтветитьMy bread is coming out terrifically. About the parchment paper, Reynolds says it's good up to 450 degrees. It has a plastic covering. I use a couple of strings to form a sling to put the loaf in the hot Dutch oven. They pull right out after I set the dough in.
ОтветитьSo there's no bulk rise after the last SnF?
ОтветитьThanks for your recipe, it makes it easy to follow.
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks for sharing!
Ответитьdo you not need the bulk fermentation process?
ОтветитьA lot of time involved here!
ОтветитьThank you! I watched so many recipes/techniques, and yours was the one I really felt was the winner. Boy, was I right! I wish I could post a picture!
ОтветитьI found your sourdough video and having tried various other recipes and methods I decided that I liked the simplicity of yours and the results that you showed, up to now I’ve been disappointed with my efforts, even giving up at one point, but I decided that I would try your method and I can report great success 🎉🎉such a simple straightforward recipe and method and resulting in my best loaf to date 🙏thank you so much for this no nonsense easy recipe and method, all I have to do now is to replicate it 😂 wish me luck, watching from the uk 🇬🇧
ОтветитьThe dough should go on the clothing its not a cover it replace the flour you put inside ;) Thanks nice video
ОтветитьMade it! I was very pleased….. I used a starter I created with only organic all purpose flour and only bread flour for bread recipe.Had a difficult time slicing it… I did it after only 15 mins cooling. So, I will make recipe again, as the bread was really, really good but want it to be amazing. It was a pleasure listening to n following your instructions. Thank you ❤
ОтветитьThis recipe and process has worked the best for me so far out of 4 other attempts so thank you for this clear video, 😊 was so nice to wake up this morning and bake my bread and it was amazing 😊
ОтветитьOh, God, no. Not the d*mn grams. Sweet Jumping Jesus. I’ll just save your air fryer chicken thighs recipe.
ОтветитьYou can skip stretch and folds. 2 sets can be enough.
Ответитьmarry me
ОтветитьHola, en serio que no has usado levadura? 😮
ОтветитьOK, I tried this and it was a total fail. You completely left out the part where after you do your stretch and folds, you put the dough in a bowl covered on your countertop and let it rise for a few hours before refrigerating it for several days not just overnight. I did everything exactly the way you outlined it step-by-step, watching the video as I went, and my loaf turned out flavorless and so please revise your video to include the fact that you need to let the dough rise on the countertop for a few hours before cold proofing. Very disappointing.
ОтветитьWhy do we only become euro metric with soughdough recipes? I do not get it. Every American you tuber use grams
ОтветитьI'm new to sourdough bread making and have tried quite a few recipes. With just a little tweaking (45 minute rests wherever 30 is called for and baked at 500 degrees covered, then down to 450 for 20-25 minutes, and a good 16 hours in the fridge) this recipe worked. I think that the tweaks I came up with worked because I live in a cold climate and it's winter. Big beautiful loaves with great structure. This is now my go-to recipe for sourdough bread.
ОтветитьDuring and after my stretch and folds, my dough still looks very wet. What am I doing wrong? I used a scale to ensure proper measurements
ОтветитьFirst of all I want to thank you for making this video. I was looking for videos on how to make sourdough bread and saw your video for the f time. I thought your method was simple. The other videos just got me overwhelmed and for the longest time I would not try to make it bc it was intimidating. My first time making sourdough bread was a complete fail that was with a completely different recipe not yours of course. Today I decided to make it again by following your steps. I was so happy with my results I finally make bread 😅. Thank you so much and that is why I subscribed to your channel lol. I normally don’t do that.
ОтветитьThe problem always is the starter. I used to follow ballerina farms!
Ответить👏💐
ОтветитьThanks for the recipe. The result turned out perfect for first time bread baker like me. Thhe hydration is perfect. I tried another recipe with 65-75% hydration and it didn't come out well.
ОтветитьMy dough was super stiff after mixing, should I have added more water, should I do all 6 stretch and folds
ОтветитьДина, отличное видео! Все вышло просто супер! ❤ Спасибо!
ОтветитьThanks great video!
ОтветитьHow long does the bread need to cool after cooking?
ОтветитьIf no time to bake in morning can I wait until evening to bake?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, I learned a lot from your video and my first loaf came out great!
ОтветитьWhat size dutch oven do you need?
ОтветитьYour recipe is indeed perfect ,i tried many recipes fr other you tuber for the seventh try and i find it so difficult to handle finally i tried your recipe and it came out perfectly tnx so much im so happy today i found your videos.❤
ОтветитьI do not consider 6 'stretch and folds' as 'Super Simple! That is a lot of time and effort to be considered simple!
ОтветитьBack again 😂
I used this recipe with a little orange zest to make 8 loaves of bread my family and friends for Christmas; I soaked dried cranberries in orange juice and added at the end when I folded the dough for the Banneton bowls. Then today I used your recipe to make two Baguettes 😊
Phenomenal.
This is my go to recipe, it hasn’t let me down. After 20 loaves, it says a lot.
Thanks again.
Thanks for explaining the slicing of the top, no one else has..
ОтветитьThank you! Great video!
ОтветитьI received some starter from a girl for Christmas and I’ve been intimidated to try sourdough again after trying it a few years ago and it being an absolute disaster. Most videos are super intimidating, yours was simple. Thank you!
Ответитьthank you for a simple beginners sourdough recipe!! It was sooooo easy..the others are so overwhelming!!
ОтветитьFinally, a simple go to recipe!! Can’t wait to try this! Thank you!!
ОтветитьI watched and read so many recipes for sourdough. Some were so unnecessarily complicated and over 3 days. I just wanted to bake some bread lol not build a rocket to Mars. This was so simple, and it made a wonderful loaf. Thank you!
ОтветитьYou did an amazing job
ОтветитьI made it!! And it turned out BEAUTIFUL!!
