If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the Aussies don’t mess around when building their 4x4’s. Fingers crossed I win the Euromillions tonight 😆 straight back down under❤️ beautiful build mate👌🏼
ОтветитьLove it. Where is it now you've gone to Ford?
ОтветитьBet you're happy to finally be out of the Amarok and in something that isn't a liability off-road.
ОтветитьWhat has happened to this rig. You seem to be now driving a ford.
ОтветитьSo, for those people that don't get massive discounts or better yet, free products, what was the complete build cost? I've watchedca few of these 'ultimate' builds and they're all the same, extremely heavily sponsored builds that the bloke in the street would have to mortgage his house for.
Ответить“Ultimate tourer”’ not an ultimate crawler, goodness, very impressive for what I think is around $145,000. 00
ОтветитьHow much did it cost ?
ОтветитьWhat a beast, hopefully see more of these on the road. Do you still have it and will we see it in any of your TV shows??
ОтветитьWeapon motors in these amoroks.
Ответитьman itd be so nice to have an unlimited budget to play with hehe 😎😎 love the build!
ОтветитьDelete the dpf and egr throw the steunbauer chip in the bin and do a 2 stage remap. 1 towing tune and 1 power tune
ОтветитьDoes the unlimited km 5year warranty still apply with upgrades? Also is it easy to upgrade the 550 V6 core engine or am I better off getting the 580? Many thanks
ОтветитьMark, so much admiration brother in many ways. Stay strong.
ОтветитьWow Mate one impressed that is a weapon
ОтветитьAny idea on total project cost? Purchase and build, surely upwards of $150k+?
ОтветитьThis is so much more pleasing then the good ol 79 series tourer spec dream builds.
ОтветитьThis video made me want to move to Australia just because of the pricing of 4x4s and accessories compared to here in South Africa
Ответитьmakes sense, the Amarok is the best tourer for comfort and power thats for sure, good place to start
ОтветитьAn now they have just released the amarok 580 xxl
ОтветитьGuy walks into the VW dealership and says 'I'll have the Pat Callinan thanks'.
ОтветитьThe V6 580 is a fantastic product. By far the best to drive and makes so much power. If you have one look after it they won't be made anymore as VW's next Amarok will be Ford based. Full time 4WD is also a bonus.
ОтветитьI'd love to upgrade to a v6 amarok one day. Dead right about the strong chassis and large frame. Hence being one of the most popular sprint cars for the SA ambulance service.
ОтветитьYou should encourage vw to build a new scout 4x4 in collab with Navistar. Then beat the crap out of it on your channel showing up the bronco.
ОтветитьProbably the best looking tourer setup.
Ответитьshockingly awesome!
Ответить😱 OMGEEEEEEEE what a superb project!!! Thank goodness not another archaic 79 build wow this is just beautifully done. V6 Amarok over anything else any day! Thanks Pat! You’re awesome! 😎
From 🇿🇦 South Africa 🇿🇦
but does it have lockers?
ОтветитьWas that the Net4x4 3.5 tonne GVM upgrade Pat ?
Ответить2880Wh of battery and a hob that draws 3000w (ok, in use slightly less as it won't be running at full power all the time) and a coffee machine drawing 1600w, plus fridge, plus webasto heater, plus lights, plus phone + camera charging, etc...
One night, one small meal or no coffee in the morning. And no low range. Not so terribly impressed. Sorry.
Who did the webasto install ?
ОтветитьYou need to shut up pat! Have you told everyone in Australia how you think everyone should have to go get a special license to drive around in a 4wd!!! Yep that’s right, he wants you pay more money to the government and force you to pay for more licenses in this supposedly free country. Big press release all over social media platforms trying persuade public opinion to call for 4WD license!!!
ОтветитьWhat ever happened to this ute? Seen the build but not alot more 🤔
Ответитьspectacular.
ОтветитьI remember when that Unimog was for sale in Darwin, that was a while back.
ОтветитьMark is freakingly unbelievable! I hope he and his family will have a wonderful life.
ОтветитьBeast of a ute touring weapon"
ОтветитьWhat was the total bill on the build?
ОтветитьMate, if i could have a ute, I'd have yours. This is a dream of mine to be able to do what you've done
ОтветитьA Yank here from out West, Wyoming to be exact. I was in Oz for 6 months a few years ago. Saving up to go back. I didn't get a chance to do any exploring, as I was busy helping a mate move things out to a second station on the Darling river, 20 miles below Tilpa. I was also up at Brewarnia, on a station there. Wonderful people, and a great country!
ОтветитьHow nice ! Can i ask where can i find that uppee control arms and the recovery points? Greatings
ОтветитьIf I was going to build a 4x4 it would not be a vw
ОтветитьGraham very impressed with this series and really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work looking forward to your next series....
ОтветитьWould have cost an absolute fortune
ОтветитьIs there Haldex or Torsen ?
ОтветитьYou know someone loves what he see’s when he can’t stop giggling 👍good stuff
ОтветитьNow I know what real jealousy feels like! I drive the same Amarok, but none of the extras. I want this when I grow up…
ОтветитьI have a 580 amarok and I cant imagine it being even longer :X
Ответитьthis guy seems like a great dad, his young fella looked so stoked when he was recalling his old mans previous cars
ОтветитьLooks excellent. And the total cost was / today is?
ОтветитьThat’s absolutely awesome!
