Movies like Grizzly Adams, books like My Side of the Mountain, and TV shows like Gentle Ben (all from the mid 70s) were the rocket fuel for my young imagination. I wanted so badly to be out in the Big Wild, on the loose, free and wandering with friendly critters as my guides and protectors. These pieces of pop culture were my lifeline until I could mature into a young man and find work, friends, and meaning in the wilderness...
...never got around to befriending a giant grizzly bear, though.

I was just remembering the show and song looked it up on you tube and found kindred souls here reminiscing...such a good show with a good message the take me home words of the song hits me hard because 3 of the five of us who use to religiously watch this show have gone home...weren't they good days...so less complicated. This show was so pure and inspiring just like my other all time favorite....little house on the prairie

This type of music is exellent the style is good tom pace is was exellent . Grizzly Adams was an excellent programme . When the north wind blows l974 film was in MY opinion . One of the best movies iv ever seen . Call of the wild was good as well . Jack London . Starting carlton Heston exellent the best . The music to when the north wind blows l974 is nice it goes well. With film it got a beautiful sound its moving its got emotion its a classic its a nice butifful film actor's are exellent Charles Brandon is good tigers are butifful . The Siberian country side is beautiful the movie you could not better it . Its exellent ❤ love it one of the best films I've ever seen.

They don't make nice movies like when the north wind blows l974 . No more . When they do there not as good . And the cast tend to be not right less than in the past . Grizzly Adams was an excellent tv programme it is watchable and the CAST was exellent. ❤

This song is an explosion of beautiful memories growing up in the late 70’s and 80’s …. From Grizzly Adam’s to The Waltons we had the best family shows on TV and the explosion of wonderful movies that even today in 2025 are still run offs. The kids today will never understand what it was like to grow up in America without technology and how we conversed with each other from family dinners to playing outside and going on picnics, swimming, camping, and fireworks at the ballpark on a blanket and just going out to the dairy for an ice cream. I truly believe we lived in the last best decades in America. God Bless our country and the new generation.

I'm 15 and i remember watching grizzly adams when i was smaller and everytime i hear this song i get a really nostalgic feeling. I remember how i loved watching grizzly adams and i even pretendet to have grizzly bear just like grizzly adams while playing in kindergarden. It was always in a really bad quality and it was one of my favorites series as a kid. It's a beautiful song and series. really grateful for experiencing this show!

I was a teen in 77 in Australia. Friends, a paper round for pocket money very few luxuries and Scouting. Times were pretty good now I look back.

I love all animals except the damn dogs. They are fake, shameless, self-serving and make some people believe they are faithful when they are only interested in you if you feed them. They would go with another person for a minimal amount, if they could.

Yesterday I said goodbye to my boy of almost 14 years. Riley was the epitome of man's best friend , loyal and playful and loving, he was a sweet sweet boy and I will miss his gentle soul forever. This is for him, rest in peace baby boy.

A lot of memories tied up in this show and song. I distinctly remember this song moving me to tears when I was about three or four years of age. Grizzly Adams will always hold a spot in my heart for it's simple goodness and beauty.
