I’d just run it 2 times then do it. I’d highly recommend running the machine AGAIN after the initial 2 times. After the initial 2 times run it again to remove the glue from the back of the phone and help the glass fit snugger in the frame!

I believe that Apple do all they do with intent, nothing is created this way by mistake. They literally design all their products to either break or become redundant over time and then make it as hard as possible for DIY repairs. It's incredibly likely that apple have a laser like yours, yet still charge that ridiculous amount because they have the monopoly and they can!

I say all this as a 15yr macbook user and lover, but I moved away from iPhones for this very reason. Apple do not play nicely.
