Gunn is a super hero himself actually. His power? Consistent at making comic entertainment worth watching. He doesn't really miss. Think about it... What director has his track record for these super hero things? There isn't one lol. He's the most consistent. Sure folks like del toro, ruso broz, Nolan etc etc have done good super hero stuff before but they never really kept that energy going for whatever reason. GUNN HAS and isn't stopping any time soon. He's the goat : )

After the failure of the Snyder Verse, I am so glad James Gunn got to be the head of dc comics. I was afraid there was going to be too much dick, and fart jokes but he genuinely seem to be doing a brilliant job, from the interviews I seen. I’m loving what we have gotten so far/what we will get from the future of the DCU

All I'm gathering from these Gunn interviews is that CBM fans want to have these discussions about what's canon in the DC movies with the pre-Gunn era, but he's just preoccupied with making quality scripts, characters, and movies. That other stuff is tertiary, which I totally respect.

I love how he says "you know nothing of this is real" because that is the perfect contrapoint to that awful Snyder remark that people that don't like Batman killing are "living in a dreamworld". Batman IS part of a dreamworld. People Flying is part of a dreamworld. So they can be better than the average guy in real world.

Shoutout to Dean for just knocking it out of the park in honoring Gunn’s work. He’s got his own singular voice we know well from the Harley show, but his outing here shows a well roundedness that tells us he is an excellent asset to many more projects.

the answer to what is cannon was frustrating to say the least. If cannon doesn't matter because none of it is real(duh we already knew that stories aren't real) Im looking forward to the sequel to Superman where everyone calls Clark, Jacob and its about him being a struggling artist working his way through colleges in a small rural town. I mean if cannon doesnt matter i guess the movies/shows in this INTERCONNECTED CINEMATIC UNIVERSE never have to acknowledge eachother.
