Said from the jump that Mike McDaniel was in over his head and he is.

Nice guy, very funny. Not a good Head Coach for the NFL

IMO McDaniel has one more season to prove his system works, if not he should be booted.

McDaniel isnt the answer, sorry - anyone who has Hill and Waddle should be able to produce and look like an offensive guru in the process. Add the other weapons and it's a joke that this team is underperforming the way it is. Then again, Salty Tua aint the answer either.

Albert obviously doesn't follow the Miami Dolphins very closely. The defense has been awful this season. Just like the offense, it's been grossly exposed each and every time it faces a good physical team. McDaniel's teams are consistently undisciplined, soft in the trenches, and ill-prepared. Again, that team is exposed whenever they play a physical, disciplined football team. The Dolphins games are ideal for betters because the outcomes are incredibly predictable.

So what is the precedent for the next coach..He has to make the playoffs at minimum in B2B years right? I don't want to hear the crap of not beating good team...1 win is 1 win...you do not get more wins if you beat a good team...Ask the Ravens why they lost to the Raiders earlier in the year. This is the NFL not college football... Cleveland beat Balty and Pitt..yet they are 3-9.....U do not fire a coach made the playoffs in B2B year and fire him his 2rd year...Name me all the coaches that made the playoffs 3 straight years...

Mike McDaniel is not a good head coach. Flores had better records with a fraction of the talent. I see him getting booted this offseason or during the 2025 season. Not flexible enough with scheme and hasn’t gotten it done.

McDaniels unwillingness to change his game plan with 3rd and 4th string QBs is alarming to me. I like Mike but you have to help a back up QB out with a run/play action game plan. You can't stick to your timing pass happy playbook with these guys and any casual fan knows better.

The trajectory of this team is down. There is a very good chance McDaniel finishes with a worst record this season then he did his first season, which was the same record as Flores had in his last season! Next year six players will take up like 58% of the Dolphins' cap. Tua, Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, Jaylen Waddle, Jalen Ramsey and Terron Armstead. Hill and Ramsey will be 31 next season. Armstead will be 34 during the season and is yet to play a full year in his entire career. Chubb has missed the equivalent of 2.5 NFL seasons in his 7-year career! Tua is one hit away from serious brain trauma.

This team isn't winning with McDaniel or this roster. The Dolphins aren't even getting the level of production from these players that would justify what they're being paid. McDaniel is 3-14 against teams with a winning record, 2 of those wins came his first year in Miami. So you either fire Grier and McDaniel together, keep the 2 together another year which is frankly malpractice, or you fire Grier and force the new GM to keep McDaniel, which makes no sense and never works. Unfortunately, the Dolphins will not be a lucrative destination for the top candidates, even for a long-time Dolphins' assistant like Ben Johnson.

This guy is literally talking out of his Yin Yang because everything he says is the exact opposite in reality
About Mike McDaniel
The Dolphins are regressing at an alarming rate, the defense looks nothing like the ravens in any game against good competition they get crushed. They need more than a couple of pieces moved around because otherwise it’s a deck chair on the Titanic situation.
His comments about the Miami Dolphins leave me wondering if he even watches any games at all
The Dolphins franchise is anything but in a good place … it’s in a horrible place a place where you can’t win in cold weather, you can’t win against a team with a winning record, you have no toughness, they can’t get plays in on time and speaking of defense…They had a great defensive coach last year but he could not connect with a bunch of pros not interested in being pros on the field so they run him out of town to a team where he is doing exceedingly well in Philadelphia SO no Albert you missed this one. You did not call a spade a spade, but you should have for your own credibility’s sake

The question to me is Miami a team that should be to make the playoffs or are they just happy being a competitive team now. Most would argue including me that Flores did much better with less and maybe should have not been fired so early.

McDaniel should be an Offensive Coordinator. And too much of the salary cap is eaten away by four player contracts.

Im a dolphin fan. I disagree 100%. Thinking this team is in a good spot with a terrible cap situation and roster depth is mind blowing. Tyreel hill is 30 years old. The team refuses to tackle. Its an arena league football team trying to play NFL football.

The Dolphins have not been very well coached in fact, its the complete opposite and Weaver has not done a good job this season thus far. Their is no issue with the QB, except for the injury concerns. We have failed to address the OL and not getting a good backup QB has been an issue for both Grier and McDaniel. Its clear albert breer has no clue what he is talking about when it comes to the Dolphins. This season has been a joke and McDaniel has not done a good job at building a tough team and getting our team mentally and physically prepared for meaningful football, not just cold weather games. That has nothing to do with anything. This is not new, but a recurring issue for the the past 3 seasons, hence our soft narrative which is true at this point and Grier is complicit to this. Nuff said, if you dont know about our team like we do, dont talk about our internal problems because Im sure heads are going to roll at some point, and I soo hardly hope its Griers head rolling first.

SF has learned the hard way about investing heavily into running backs. Miami put too much money into other positions and the biggest problem is Tua with no concussion provision in his contract, not McDaniels fault. What will make them succeed is a different GM I think.

As a Miami fan, I think McDaniel is a good coach. If you noticed the offense has changed. Definitely needs more help along the line and a physical running back but the two big tight ends Smith and Hill have been doing their jobs well. Would like to see he’ll take less penalties. The defense is also getting there. Don’t think they have a personnel to run Weaver‘s defense properly yet. I do think Chris Greer needs to go. Too many high draft pick busts, and some bad trades. Can’t keep trading for injured players with injury, history like Bradley Chubb and Terron Armstead.

@ps50433
@ps50433 - 06.12.2024 21:23

Dolphins are not in a good place. They are going to miss the playoffs, they have a ton of money committed to a good but not great qb who comes up short against good teams, and their drafts have been mediocre. That owner is in his 80s, he’s not going to have the patience to wait wait wait for something that isn’t going to get much better. Nothing about McDaniel says that he’s a good HC, making the playoffs is the bare minimum for a team that has committed as much money as they have and traded as much draft capital as they have.

Mike McDaniel is a development project. Very much like Flores was. Each good at their specialty but lots of gaps in overall head coaching game management and preparation. The question is how long until he develops whereby we beat the teams above .500 consistently.

i dont think mcdaniel is necessarily the issue in miami? but i also think he embodies how soft the team is itself, seems more like a cultural issue than a scheme one. also their personnel/cap/draft situation is too wacky which is on the gm.

wouldnt really be upset if they get a new gm and flip mcdaniel over in the next year or two if things dont go right.
