Ramram is barely relevant here. Drident pop imperm prevents duster from being negated. Obviously ramram is better because you keep the drident pop but MBT had no cards in hand so I doubt it mattered.

I always wondered how people remember every effect that their Zoodiac monster has, specially when is the attached monsters effect. The answer is they don't, apparently.

Everyone forgets about cobalt sparrow permanently giving the xyz monster target immunity.

Had an opponent during XYZ Festival that similarly didn't read cards. They went first, setting up a Drident and passed. Without backrow.

My turn, I draw and scale a Purple Poison Magician in the left pendulum zone and they decide it's a good idea to pop it.

My opponent left the game after I popped the Drident. Easiest game ever.

After watching this video, my brother and I jumped to Master Duel to test this out:

First out: Ramram

Second out: Blow impermanence, is not face up on a column at resolution, so it doesn't negates Duster, backrow blown.

Third out: Blow Drident herself, Impermanence needs to negate it's target to resolve and negate Duster.

That is it, blowing Duster doesn't stop the negate, since Impermanence negates the effects of cards, and not the card itself, so even if it leaves the field, the effect (for people who doesn't get this, think of the effect resolving where the number is in master duel, not where the card is when it happens), end of this, now obligatory joke where i say this person was 3 times an idiot.

I played against a Zoo player who tried to activate Drident when I only had set cards on the field. I love when the opponent doesn't read their own cards.

Is the vod of this stream still around? MBT+Farfer playing set 5 pass sounds awful but I'm intrigued.

He also could have just activated Drident to pop the Imperm

He could’ve popped harpies as chain link 3 so it could leave the field before imperm resolved

maybe he thought he couldn't respond to imperm? I used to be misinformed on spell speed and thought only traps could respond to traps (probably due to counter counter originally not being printed as a counter trap card)

I once made Crystal Wing with Windwitch Snow Bell which gives destruction effect immunity, and the other player activated three different destruction effects before pausing for two minutes and then scooping.

Not only that but If im not mistaken, If you destroy impermanence It doenst negate the column, i remember once i did mst after he tried negating column And then my other spell resolved after destroying imperm even though they were in same column

sad that you can't really replicate this on master duel. i was once playing phantasm spiral against zoodiac in xyz festival, and both my opponent and i were low on resources, and i would have been in a great spot if i could spiral attack pop my opponent's drident, the catch being it had ramram as material. i didn't know the effect (chances are neither did my opponent), and i lost the game from there.

Even if he didn't have ramram couldn't he have just drident pop itself so Imperm doesn't resolve thus not negating duster. A 2 for 5 trade sounds perfectly fine..
