Track Video with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (2024)

Your video is useful but you did the same video multiple times. Very basic videos, but in the market, there are a bunch of updates but you never talk about that like consent mode, privacy Sandbox, and more, but you skip all of this.

I’ve created Google Tags and they’re firing correctly.

In Google analytics I can see “item_id” as a parameter under “Events in the last 30 minutes”

But I cannot filter down / find this item_id parameter under explore in my free form table.

Do you have a video on how to do this? Hopefully that makes sense.

Question, can I set up this tracking and then I run advertising using the Google Ads UI or is there a way to have utm tracking within Google Ads itself? What would you recommend?

I have a site and Vimeo tracking is fine with a video that automatically loads with your setup up but the video is clickable and opens up another window where a different Vimeo video plays. I want to track this video as an event. I have tried many things can you help. I love your courses I have signed up a month ago and the material is great.
