I am so happy to see this family being together and enjoying life vs struggling to survive in their own country. On the other hand it is so sad that people have to flee their homeland because of destructing policies of their governments. Here in Russia we also have a lot of families arriving from the Western countries simply because they want to see their kids grow in safe environment with traditional values.

I have the utmost respect and admiration for your brave decision. There's a lot to be said about getting out of the rat race. I've lived off grid in the past in a few different countries, however became fearful after losing my husband and realising that I was never going to be able to retire unless I joined that race again, now I work 12-18 hr days to pay bills 😢. You're living your best life, I love your positivity and 'can fix it' attitude. Your children have got amazing parents and will look back on their childhood with a better understanding of prioritising family first. Then you said Bulgaria and my heart sank .I was getting all excited.

You guys are the best. Well done! I so liked that comment about not listening to the negative comments from those that are still back in the UK! Hey, sometimes you just have to have a bit of gumption and pack up and go. We built our own house down here in Southern Spain away from the coast where it's not so expensive, by rebuilding a ruin (no roof!). We've been through it all: no electricity, no running water, etc. We now have a four bedroomed + two office home with two bathrooms and a cloakroom, and a quality of life that has always been way way better than we would have had in the UK. PS. The wedding can wait. Never understood why young people spend so much on something like that with house prices beinbg what they are anyway. Spot on.
