LOVE this video. I bought the same gun in a 4 in barrel. It has a guide rod. I wonder if all 4 in barrels have a guide rod. I prefer the bushing system as well. Overall I love the gun. I may replace the trigger.
ОтветитьFrom an old former army officer, a big thank you for your service. I was in officers training in 1980 and learned my 1911 from then and carried one every so often when I pulled installation reserve security force. I have a full-size Ronin and love it. I got a superb trigger job with the original 23-pound hammer spring. The 3.5-pound trigger is now so nice. I re-installed regular grip bushing screws instead of their thin bushing grip screws so I could install Pachmayr low profile wrap around Diamond Pro grips. I like the two-tone look, but I Cerakoted the slide with a light metallic look that perfectly matches the bead blasted stainless bottom of the frame. The cerakoted slide is better for outdoor use, such as camping or hiking. Overall, it's my favorite, do it all .45.
Love your channel. So understated and knowledgable instead of some young kid screaming and cussing. Keep it uo. Just subscribed.
I picked mine up from layaway today. It came with 3 magazines 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьDespite the conditions, that was still some good shooting
ОтветитьI just picked up one of these today for $650. I really dig the two tone look.
ОтветитьI came across one in a pawn shop and snagged it up. Love this gun!
ОтветитьHow is this for concealed carry
ОтветитьI just bought one from Bud's gun shop, and I am in love with it. SemperFi USMC 1966/1969
ОтветитьI’m almost 62 so I put a Holosun 507C ACSS with the Trijicon night sights mount on my Ronin 4.25 and it runs beautifully. Thanks for the extended tests and information. Very helpful indeed.
ОтветитьAn unholy union in this day and age is 45acp and a wallet. I just detail stripped my buddy's Ronin govt 9mm and I was highly impressed. It's the spitting image of the Colt XSE combat elite minus the series 80 and a nylon msh. This is a phenomenal pistol inside and out.
ОтветитьCpl. Funk, I'm the guy that you met at the gun range Wednesday who commented on your weight loss. I'm waiting on the delivery of my SA Ronin 9MM 4". Keep your powder dry Marine.
ОтветитьVery nice, objective and detailed review!
ОтветитьThanks HRF. Great job. Good info. God bless.
LETS GO BRANDON
Recently bought one of these used for my wife...has a really great feel in the hand...runs well...she loves it, but so do I...
ОтветитьThere is some similarities to my Springfield EMP 4
ОтветитьSir. Since you are a Marine and this is memorial day weekend, 2023 I thought you might appreciate the following..
My uncle is a retired Marine gunnery sargent.
Last year he went
to the Ukrain to help train civilians
to fight the Russians, for almost 2 month's,
He survived thank God, and returned to the state's. Although my uncle hasn't said so directly, I believe he did what Marines are trained to do while there.
There is a part 2 to this story, which is best shared for another time.
My uncle is 67yrs old.
Happy Memorial day ! 🇺🇸
Ronin 10mm owner...
Ohh Rahh Devil Dog. Great work and thank you.
ОтветитьSorry, did you say 9mm?
ОтветитьThe target paper is the same size as the torsoe, so its not bad for 15 yards
ОтветитьDid you ever take this gun back out in better weather and reshoot it?
ОтветитьThe only thing I hate on that gun beside the goofy name is the slim grips. I hate slim grips on a 1911 and it limits what you can put on the gun till you get the bushings changed out. Other than that the pistol is great!
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьI actually own this gun, and I absolutely love it!! Great handling, great weight and control, and good sights.
ОтветитьI won't buy a 1911 with an Ambi Safety... Just Won't do it...
ОтветитьThis pistol has been my EDC for the past 18 months. 100% reliable with over 1,000 rounds and with good ammo and mags. If you can’t conceal a Commander 1911 you’re not doing your job !
ОтветитьNice pistol. 👌
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI hate the fact that it comes with a plastic trigger, but overall nice.
ОтветитьJust found your channel and watched your SA Ronin review and I must say it was one of the most enjoyable and informative reviews ive watched. Your format, pace and attention to detail is really a joy. I just subscribed and will look forward to more videos in the future. Thanks for making this content.
Ответитьto go out in that weather demonstrates your dedication to the sport.
ОтветитьThe gun is not bad those sights are just bad news just look cheap Colt commander much better gun if you could find one buy it they are hard to find 😮
ОтветитьI just got one in 45 . Yes I like the 2 tone and especially how light it is
ОтветитьI know what you mean about carrying them in the Marine Corps. I picked up my Rocker in 1980 and the 1911 became my duty weapon whenever I was to carry. Normally only on a deployment...
ОтветитьNo, you only get the platypus gun with Glock mags.
ОтветитьHey HR, I just found your channel recently and really enjoy your reviews. And as a Marine, I definitely respect your views. I was a Seabee and we were jokingly called “Light Duty Marines” by some of the Matines we worked with. But I actually took it as kind of a compliment, lol
I’m in the market for a 4.25” 1911 in 45 ACP for EDC. I’ve narrowed down my choices to the Ronin in 45 ACP, and the new Garrison 4.25” also in the 45. I’m hoping maybe you’ll review one or both of these sometime in the near future, because I really value your opinion.
Thanks for all you do, and Semper Fi!
Remember, triggers get better over time, 500 rounds and more
ОтветитьPlastic trigger!...Damn
ОтветитьHave tested Ronin EMP 3”? Suggestion for range magazine?
ОтветитьA
ОтветитьLove my Ronin as my CCW.
Ответитьwhen someone is to s.. to clean and lube a gun out of the box its his problem
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video…..thanks for the review
ОтветитьI’m a lefty can the thumb safety be moved to the left side or can an ambi be installed
ОтветитьHey my friend great video! How would you compare this one to the tisas 9mm bobtail carry?
ОтветитьThanks for this great video. I'm looking to purchase a Ronin (full size .45) and this is one of the best Ronin reviews I seen yet. Very comprehensive.
ОтветитьI’m thinking about purchasing a 4.25” 9mm Ronin. My idea is to swap out the grip bushings and screws to run Pachmayr grips on it, for sort of a 9mm Commander version of the old Combat Special. Any new feedback since you filmed this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьI can do without 1911 front serattions as well because the subtle look is my preference.
Excellent review HR!
Don’t blame it on the cold
ОтветитьMy Colt Defender I believe is 22.5 oz . It’s a 45.
