I don't speak English fluently. I guess, the most people who follow you also do not speak. But you speak in a didactic way. I don't even miss subtitles.
I end up practicing English by learning other languages.Because it's easier to find material.
Thank you for always keeping us motivated and for always showing that you have another way to learn
I'm back with my journey of learning KOREAN. So happy.
ОтветитьI’m also getting back to Spanish and I agree with breaking language learning into smaller and simpler tasks. It has helped me a lot when I was first doing self-study for Korean
Love your videos!!! And I’m surprised to know you’ve been studying Tagalog
thank you so much for this omg
ОтветитьDo you have a link for your hungarian tv interview? I'd like to check it out.
ОтветитьWoahh!! Just the video that I was looking for. It's been months since I learned a language consistently, and now that I wanted to go back to consistent language learning, I searched for your channel and this video popped out! Thank you so much for the tips and I'm really really excited to start a new language learning journey!
ОтветитьThese video came right on time. I’m a French Major and have hardly done much this summer break due to a bunch of life stuff. Thank youuuuu~
ОтветитьIn the future, would you ever consider picking up Gaeilge (Irish/Irish Gaelic) as a hobby language when you have more free time? It’s a GORGEOUS language, and it uses the VSO sentence structure, which I love. Incredible to speak and listen to, highly recommended.
ОтветитьPlease lindie make a video on spanish dialects and accent for beginners.
ОтветитьHey Lindie, and polyglot community. I think you have a video about the question I have, but I can't find it. I would like to know the label or the shop or IDK about the small planner you use for langiaje tracking. The one with the week on the left side and a blank page on the right side. Thank you so much in advance.
ОтветитьCompletely off-topic for this video, but your Korean handwriting is so pretty!
ОтветитьLindie, thank you so much for your advice! I'm on my way to get back to Spanish after two intense years of Portuguese. I know that the road won't be easy but with your advice, it will be more fruitful! Thank you for the inspiration!
ОтветитьHi😘, i'm Vietnamese
ОтветитьDid you learn Japanese kanji? If so, How did you learn them? I'm struggling to remember it.
ОтветитьI’ve been struggling with this for months with Japanese. I finally decided to order notebooks and restart this week so this video came at a good time! It sucks that I can’t understand half of my old notes now…so I’m doing the solar system method using what vocab is most important to me based on experience talking in/living in Japan
ОтветитьI can relate to this when i have free time I study then when i get busy i can't so I forget what i learned .
ОтветитьGod Lindie your tips are soo helpful. I did a one year break on chinese and am getting back into it. I don't want it to end again the way it did the last time which is where your video comes in handy. THANK YOU💘💪
ОтветитьNever have I related to a video more than I do now
Ответитьugh i haven't studied languages all summer but just today i started a new language (japanese)! hoping to get back into my russian and french soon though <3
Ответитьhi.l am a native Chinese speakers and English intermediate level .l want find a Spanish partners.
Ответитьthank you very much lindie you motivate me to make my best to learn french and English
ОтветитьTrying to come back to Korean.
ОтветитьI highly suggest the Duolingo podcasts for anyone at an intermediate level in Spanish, French, or Japanese! The stories are so interesting and engaging. There's also some translation to understand the concepts and vocabulary. It's great for listening practice.
ОтветитьOK, way back in junior high school (7, 8, 9 th grades), I took Spanish as a foreign language. I haven't used it since then. I don't want to say how long ago that was. I'm currently studying Swedish as a new language, well have been for a while. Do you think that maybe I could slip in a day or two of Spanish learning I to my Swedish, or should I wait and try later. I work in retail and have had some Spanish speakers come into the store.
ОтветитьHi, This is a great video. I’m considering the Lingoda Sprint. I’ve taken a loong break. I think something structured might be just what I need to develop consistency. I’m unsure though. I’ve tried many programs to learn Spanish. I don’t want to fail again.
ОтветитьYou always give such useful, insightful and well-thought-out advice. Thank you and keep it up! This is the content we need.
ОтветитьThank you for this! I did 2 jobs for a while & had to take a pause on studying Japanese, I felt horrible & sad that even now I haven’t put much time by working now. At least I got a job in the field that I study for which was a long process to get to. I try to go back on some Japanese courses from what I learned in Duolingo & boy I admit it was a struggle for me on going back my memory on some words but glad that some of it is coming back & actually pressing the words that I forgot what they meant & not feeling bad for it. Thank for the tips on reviewing notes & microgoals! I definitely gotta do that (or brush up on it again) & not be too hard on myself as a perfectionist.
ОтветитьI understand serbian perfectly but i dont know any of the slang or things not really used •-•
I can also barely speak without using more than one language 👀
This is me with all the languages I'm interested in. I burn myself out 😭😂
Ответитьi was high intermediate to low advanced in spanish and i stopped studying it about 6 years ago
now i feel like everything i understand is because of the similarity with portuguese and it is so fustrating! thanks for the tips
I have so much struggle since I began to learn again German. I had learned for 10 years and had a pause of 5 years. My level was pretty low at this time and when I choose to began again to learn it ... Just what did I do 🤣🥲 !
It's so hard because you try to learn again but you're like "but I thought I forgot that, but in fact no ?" But you're not able to use your " knowledge" in real time. Pretty stressful and it makes the learning time so hard
Thank you. This made me feel better. I took 6 months off French to start a new job and have been feeling so badly about it.
ОтветитьI knew hungarian, not the grammar, but how to speak it and make sense. When i was little i stopped using it and forgot. My moms side of the family speaks hungarian and i feel like i should know how to talk to them in a language they are most comfortable with…
ОтветитьSo I will watch this video when I can, for me the problem is more that I want to study German to a high(er) level, had it at school and was reasonably good at it but at age 64+ I am really not sure what is the right way of studying a language.
I still know quite some words, a bit of the grammar and my pronunciation is quite ok but I just don't know what is the right way of studying. So if anyone could help me with that, any tip would be appreciated
I was hoping this video would help me, but with my situation its different. I purposely decided to give up my first language (Russian) when I was 7 years old because I was feared I would go back to the orphanage, but now my 25-year old self regrets that everyday. I want to become just as fluent as was I was dated back 20 years ago… Any good suggestions with my current specific situation? How long will it take me to become fluent again so I can make conversations with strangers. Thanks.
Ответить👏Always inspiring and interesting. Thank you
ОтветитьLove you hair in this video, you should keep it like this, looks great, also the color! 🙂
ОтветитьI did like Lingoda. I took classes in Spanish and French. However, at that time you had to use a different account for each language (if I recall), and often have to take classes out of order to get them to fit the free time you have available.
ОтветитьSOMEONE LEARNING ENGLISH HERE ???? LET'S BE FRIENDS
ОтветитьFilipino here! Imagine my delight when you mentioned Tagalog 😊 So happy to have come across your channel, I really enjoyed listening to you, and I'm getting more motivated to learn my goal languages too!
ОтветитьThank you Lindie - I admire your abilities in language I have to try more and I will.
ОтветитьI grew up speaking Vietnamese. At 6 I learnt English and forgot Vietnamese. Now i’m in high school regretting not learning Vietnamese again because now I can’t communicate with my family. But I’m too embarrassed to miss pronounce things 😢
ОтветитьTremendous video! In most cases, the reason for unsatisfactory results of learning a foreign language is a loss of interest in the student, or you have stopped at some stage of their training and began to "stomp in one place. Thus, the effort and time you have spent in the absence of new techniques will not allow progress in mastering the language. For example, if you spend your time and effort learning the alphabet for months on end, you will not learn to read, write, speak and understand the spoken and written language. Yuriy Ivantsiv in his book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language" writes that you should not selectively stop at one thing, and try to gradually move forward, without skipping anything and not jumping, developing all the necessary language skills for you proportionally. Only then will you get effective results. In your strategy for learning any information for you, including a foreign language, you should adhere to the following principle: you made a breakthrough - mastered the new information, then you need to take the time to consolidate the material and bring it to automaticity. The next step - learn new material and master it, and so on. "There are no secrets to success. It's the result of good preparation, hard work, and learning from your mistakes." Colin Powell. Many thanks to the author of the channel for the tremendous work in creating the instructional video. Thanks to such helpful videos, we have rapid progress in language learning.
ОтветитьTrying to reboot my studies. Whats wild is Me landing on this video when there's 4 months left to the year as you're saying there's only 5 months left in the year.😅😅
ОтветитьI'm considering picking up Russian again. I used to love Russian music and culture, I had a friend who was Russian but we ended our friendship on terrible terms and it's traumatized me into not wanting to think about Russian because it reminds me of the friends I lost and it makes me very sad. But I wanna rediscover my love for all things Russian that I had before I was friends with them. I've been in several situations now where knowing Russian was very useful and would've been more useful if I knew it better. Any tips on how to find that language love again and get over the negative feelings associated with it? Anyone else experience something similar some time?
ОтветитьI’m brazilian and I studied english for almost my entire life until a long break of 5 years or more. I have decided to restart my language learning before 2025 and I’m really excited to continue back where I stopped. I’m certain your tips will encourage me to start right now and at This moment i’m taking some notes in english to see if i still know write in english 😂
It seems i know a little! Thanks for tips
I forgotten my mother language 😅
