ОтветитьHey Mike....love your videos! Im from South Bend and have never been to Duluth but would like to plan a trip there in a few weeks. Is there a schedule of when these ships will be passing through? Is it every day?

ОтветитьVacationing for five weeks again on Washington Island, WI, north of the Death's Door Passage at the tip of the Door County peninsula. We love to watch for ships going by our little bit of the shore on Green Bay (or Lake Michigan on the other side of the island.). I always devour books about the Great Lakes, the ships on them, and the workers on the ships while I'm here. A shoutout to the Island's library for having these books!
ОтветитьGreat video, I love seeing what the weather is like up in that part of the world.
ОтветитьPlease take time to remember those who gave their life serving our country.
ОтветитьGot to love the Indiana Harbor! My favorite ship is whichever vessel is in town at the moment. Yesterday it was Manitowoc, who we followed on her way down the Cuyahoga back to the bulk terminal to fill up for another shuttle run to the mill.
ОтветитьRonnie from Shelbyville Tennessee

ОтветитьSaw this ship near where we stayed. Did get to see the Walter J McCarthy Jr this morning from Canal Park
ОтветитьHi Mike - so hard to pick a favorite. They all are magnificent! Was able to spend a couple of days on St. Joseph Island a few years ago at a cottage that was on the passage between two of the lakes. There was a log book to keep track of the ships going by. Can't remember any of the names but it was a great experience! Would love to get to Duluth some time! Thanks for another great video!
ОтветитьAnother great video of a huge bulk carrier on the great lakes. These are the vessels that transport the coal, iron ore pellets, and other cargo around the great lakes.
ОтветитьAmerican Century!!

ОтветитьG’day from Buff Point New South Wales - Australia🖐️
ОтветитьShe is an awesome piece of machinery! My favorites are the ole timers. The Saginaw, the Alpena, and the Lee A Tregurtha.
Saginaw is a Native American name and the city right next to mine here in Michigan.
I helped place flags at the Veterans grave sites at my cemetery on Wednesday. Mowed the lawn on Sunday and worked on cleaning my enclosed porch today.
This was a great video. Thanks Mike!
