I will continue using this app. People are ok when they’re making money off glitches or store errors and are now furious when things don’t go their way. I’m staying with Shopkick.

I never got any funds from my 2 olay.

I too did the OS deal. 42,500. "Cashed" in for six $25 PayPal gift cards & received 3. Contacted them, twice & they said they were working. Then my balance jumped up to 30K because they refunded me some of my kicks. I ALMOST cashed out for a $100 Visa gift card, but I was too late. They wiped my account clean overnight Sunday into Monday. Then yesterday I received a courtesy 5K kicks, what a bunch of thieves. This was one of my favorite apps, my first app to use for couponing. I think they are going out of business. Not only disappointing, but furious with their business practices.

I follow you and only a few other creators that do coupons and have been observing trends and issues with Shopkick for about a year…..around may 2024 I really noticed weird things occurring with my personal shopping experience w them but since I rarely use them I filed the info in my mind until they jerked me around in a small deal in June….i got my points quickly to grab one final gift card,spent it right away and bounced from the app. My prediction is this will happen with more apps….i usually agree with your gut predictions kimono…..that’s one of reasons I was already on high alert so as always….thank you for great content and education….happy new year community 🎉

They want me SS number now and I don’t want to give it to them . I don’t want to deal with any more tax forms they might send. Any opinions?

The fallout is wild but totally expected. Not the way to start off the new year.

I'm very curious about the wider effects of this. On SK's side they are reporting big sales in Old Spice while stores like Walmart & Target are reporting big returns. The interpretation of it all will clash with each other.
If everyone returns it, would vendors be reluctant to carry old spice in the future thinking it's an issue with the product. They might want to avoid it all in the future. However it's P&G so the likelihood is small but they will likely stop to think for a second about what's going on.

I just want to point out that BBB is a not a government agency. They're a private business. Basically old-school Yelp. They don't have much power. I agree with Running Kimono that leaving honest reviews on the app stores is the best bet. That is the heart of their business and they can't remove the reviews easily.

I deleted them a long time ago. It was not reliable and poor customer service

I stopped using shopkick over 2 years ago and it kept wiping all my points away and I was not abusing it at all when they finally contact me one time was the last time they said they can take away the points anytime they want that's what they said and they don't have to give them back

It’s was on Facebook too. I’m hearing that even if you didn’t do the deal your pts are being wiped or gift card not working either.

Strange …mine did not disappear and I got credit last week to PayPal and cashed the other half today. With no issues except it took a little longer to get credit. I’ve never had a problem with this app and use it regularly. I’ve had to contact customer service a few times but they r always have been very helpful

I cashed out 1 paypal gift card when I went to do my second PayPal was gone. I cashed out a Walmart card instead. I used both within 24 hours of receiving them. I had 1936 kicks left. I now have 5000kicks . They must have cleared my account and then gave me 5000. That is not the same as awarding 5000 kicks because I would have 6936 kicks if thats what they did. So by my dumb luck I actually came out ahead .

Just an update for everyone on here I was able to cash out a couple weeks ago and get $50 Walmart gift cards I tried to use them today they all read error when we scanned them bye-bye Shopkick the sad part is all of those ticks were not from Old Spice they were from other items I did so I am out that money as well

They blocked my Facebook account and deleted my comments
I also did my old spice deal on the 19th before the deal went viral and all my kicks I had left in my account got wiped.
My dove kicks, the native, the Ferrero rocher and my old spice. They took kicks from products that wasn't even part of the old spice.
I cash out the $20 they gave us in walmart gift cards, I'm going to do the tresemme deal today, going to cashout and then once I get me redemption, I'm returning all the tresemme and deleting my account and the app.

I deleted this app 1.5 years ago and got my gift card over 1 year ago.

I never actually got to use SK. You posted a deal at the beginning of last year and gave us your referral code. I downloaded the app and used it and kept getting error messages.

I don’t do the deal as we were doing family christening the time the deal was active. I had cashed out on Dec. 21 for $10 to PayPal which I received with no issue. I still have 756 SK in my account which they haven’t wiped (yet ?!?). I’m okay with losing them but will definitely be cautious of using them in the future.

Happy New Year 🎊 I have stopped using the Shopkick app a long time ago because the last times I submitted a receipt they never awarded me the points and when I contacted them they always replied with we don’t recognize that you purchased the item 😡🤦🏻‍♀️So I was done with them

I used Shopkick over 2 years ago and started to notice changes, like when you fulfilled the requirements they wanted, then they would delay issuing kicks or lie and say you didnt fulfill the requirements necessary to obtain the kicks. Then one day i tried to go on my account and it had malware. I stopped using it for awhile. Then i heard the trouble everyone was having, so i deleted my account 2 days ago. I will never use Shopkick again! Shopkick is learning an important lesson, you dont mess with the couponing community! We are very serious about our deals and dont take kindly to being lied to!

I think lots of people will be deleting this app. I need 1000 kicks for my next award and then I’m done with them forever. I’ll be earning them from walk ins and scans.

They took away all my points from deals I did all of November, and December. And nothing shows before November at all. Everything after November 1 says receipt rejected ineligible purchase date... I have no idea exactly how many kicks they stole... I never cashed out anything went from around 99,500 to 67kicks (from videos and stuff on the app). That's all that shows up now.

I didn’t lose any but cashed every kick out and have already used gift cards just in case 😅

I just deleted this freaking app. This is ghetto low life behavior. I hope everyone is going to stick to this and never use them again. It's unbelievable how many people are stuck now with this high out of pocket expense on this products. Not only did they not give you the point for the O.S offers but they took the money back also from a bunch of other offers. Like the deal on the Baby formula on the gift set deals. UNBELIEVABLE what they have done. What I wonder what is in for them or what happens to them if people no longer will use that app.

I kind of feel like this app is like our insurance, not guarantee of payment/rebate. I think by everyone leaving them is the best solution.

They have been cheating me on deals since about Oct or Sept when I did the CVS Belvita deal. The have cheated me everytime since then. Never had issues before this year. Argued with there customer service and still was given less kicks then offer. I look at deals and as soon as I arrive at the store the deal disappear. I am in support of deleting. Cashed out to paypal yesterday.

I am really close to a 10 dollar giftcard. Less then a 100 kicks. I will do a few walk ins and scan something. Cash out and delete. Our time is too important to mess around with scammy companies. Thanks for making people aware.

Don't forget the fact that Procter & Gamble profited handsomely from this promotion because they sold a lot more deodorant than they would have otherwise sold. Contacting Procter & Gamble to complain about Shopkick might help... They could pressure Shopkick to pay out since it also makes Procter and Gamble look bad. Filing a complaint with the better Business bureau may help someone, but they can't make shopkick do anything. What might work the best is filing a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for their business practices.

I think P&G was involved in this debacle. When we get things for cheap or free, someone is taking a loss somewhere. So, when the offers went viral, P&G likely balked on funding the rebates, leaving Shopkick stuck with no choice but to pull back kicks. Do I think it was a sh*tty move? Yes. Do I think Shopkick handled it poorly? Yes. Do I think Shopkick was solely to blame? No. My leftover points got wiped out, but luckily I redeemed and used the gift cards. I also returned the OS. Im keeping the app but using it sparingly.
