Now for me this is how DC should be. Mature, violent, funny (but not childish) and deepcutting obscure characters. It's what James Gunn does best. Gunn does have a tendency to be a bit immature with his humour though 🤔 like in The Suicide Squad. That film was meh for me and only watched once. I LOVE Guardians Of The Galaxy, so that's as childish as I would want to go with it. Keep the humour, but ultimately bring emotion and excitement to the table with this. The animation looks great, if the characters and story are right then this could be a real winner 🏆
