Please let me know when the frames are for sale! I'll even pick up!
ОтветитьAwesome clip Tim!
ОтветитьI’m ready for a marketable version of your main double deep hive… so excited to see how far you take it.
ОтветитьOMG....!!! Vino Farms!!! You taught me how to bake sourdough and I have turned many others onto your Sourdough baking videos..... Good to see you!!!! And thank you!
ОтветитьTruth right here. .
Ответитьwho the he'll does a queen search like that. This a hobbyist channel,?
ОтветитьIf you don't enjoy the process then you don't enjoy bee keeping.
ОтветитьWhat's the better way
ОтветитьI never used 8 frame hives, ten frame, always, being a Northern Beekeeper, the other two frame always good for the long winters.
ОтветитьHi Jim, I have a question for you about the version 2.0 hives with the Lyson interiors. Are you able to treat mites with either Formic Pro or oxalic acid or do they degrade the polystyrene and plastic? What is your experience treating mites in these hives? I really like the idea of superinsulated brood boxes and your deep frames. Wishing you a great bee season. Best, Doug
ОтветитьNo not like that.. Use a 10 frame 1/1 LS, and you will only need to look for her in ONE box... and no you wont get more swarming that way, it is all about management.
ОтветитьYea but to do a walk away split when hive builds up there is no easy split!! Or if you need to pull frames to start a nuc there is another problem. This single brood chamber sounds all glorious but its not for doing splits or building nucs from existing brood.
ОтветитьWhere is the conclusion video?
ОтветитьI always enjoy your stuff.
Ответить10 frame deep single. Problem. Solved.
ОтветитьYou need to market that product I would definitely buy it.
Ответитьtry a layens hive instead, much easier, or top bar, or use 5 frame box stacks. many different options without spending more money
ОтветитьCan't wait for fabrication of those frames to make it easier to convert hive bodies. Side bars only needed.
Ответитьi've kept bess for 60 yrs , 350 hives, and guess what, i've NEVER wanted to isolate a queen, do you enjoy tormenting your queens !
Ответитьwould it be better to have a copper bracket you could clip to your old frames and screw inplace, and nothing would need replacing just need to buy clips
ОтветитьI totally agree. But you were not the first to think of double-deep frames. My grandfather used 18.5” frames back in the 50s and 60s. And I still use them today. Vino is right, it’s a huge advantage to beekeeping and I think one day most of us will use them.
