Training EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert - M20.1 How to Access Broken mode (Before v3.2 SP2)

Has this function been removed in 3.2 SP2? I have a HMIST6500 and am unable to boot into "broken mode". I'm following you in the video and FA355946. During the boot switch off the power twice after the boot bar reached 70-90%. I've tried switching the power off at all points from 60-95% and can't get it to boot into broken mode when I re-apply power.

We are trying to get communications going between an M241 and an HMISTM6B or HMIST6400.

We started with HMIST6B and followed the bouncing ball for establishing SchneiderNet comms
We can download the HMI Program OK from Terminal Expert - however, it never interacts with the M241
No errors, no diagnostics, just broken.
However.... when we run Terminal Expert in Simulate mode and make an IP connection between PC and
PLC it works - almost...

When we attempt to use the Web screen object on the Terminal Expert simulation, it works correctly
When we attempt to use the Web screen object on the HMIST6B we get the message
"Browser object not supported on this target"
WTH??!!
It is the job of Terminal Expert to only download compatible objects to TheTarget... and here TheTarget is
claiming that the Browser object is not supported.

OK, let's try the HMIST6400
Save-As project
Convert from HMISTM6 | HMISTM6400 (There is no option for HMISTM6B...
I guess Schneider's right hand didn't get the memo from Schneider's left hand
Ideally every target would be specifically identified to avoid the need for random trial and error

Convert to HMIST6400 - that part works seamlessly
Downloading.... After about 5 minutes of downloading Terminal Expert reported 71% where it appeared to be stalled.
The progress bar on the HMI indicated about 30% (making the rather radical assumption that the entire
screen width represents 100%
Given the excruciatingly slow pace of the transfer on what is probably almost the smallest possible functional
application, I was speculating whether the HMI had a 4004 processor or whether they had splurged for an 8008.

Well... it appeared to be wedged. So we disconnected the USB connection.
Terminal "Expert" failed to detect the loss of connection and insisted it could not be interrupted - and had to be murdered
with task manager
Upon re-powering the HMI there is a different progress bar so it appears that the HMI is wedged in its reboot/initialization phase.
The HMIST6400 had a bit of an operator interface - enabling the selection of USB, Ethernet, or 300 baud teletype
transfer method.
The HMIST6B OTOH has no monitor mode - except the hardware configuration - which is obscenely bloated with all kinds
of graphical elements and is radically mismatched to the landscape format of the screen - also the hardware configuration
can be entered if one has just the perfect timing of touching the UL/LR corners.

It is quite shocking that this stuff is considered to be professional production-grade devices

So we are left with resurrecting the 6400 and dealing with the dysfunctionalities of the 6B

Hello, I have a 6700 HMI from the Harmony line and I can't get into download mode. I downloaded it, but after that I can't download it again. I've already clicked on the corners diagonally and I've already performed the shutdown as in the video and I can't get into broken mode. What can I do next?

Hola, tengo problemas con un HMISTU855. Queda cargando la imagen y no inicia nunca. En este HMI no puedo ver el porcentaje de carga. Alguna ayuda para ingresar al broken mode? Gracias!

I try both way press left bottom or power on and power of still reboot until 90% and hang on

hola leandro, tengo una hmist6700 y cargue una aplicacion pero no agregue el modo de configuracion, la hmi esta programada en la version 3.1 y no tengo metodo para cargar otra aplicacion

Hello LeTomas!! I accidentally accessed the broken mode and now I cannot go back... How can I exit the broken mode? I tried to turn off and back on but it did not help.
