Skillshare Review (Unsponsored) | Would I recommend it?

SKILLSHARE ROBBED MY MONEY TWICE IN A WEEK

Please don't end up like me.

I tried the free trial for a month to learn Adobe Illustrator.

Then on August 27, 2024 I signed up for an annual membership. It cost $49. I was so excited to learn. As soon as I paid, I was logged out of the website and haven’t been able to log in since (I’m writing this on September 3, 2024, six days since the incident). I tried the methods in the FAQ but none of them worked. I still can’t learn until now.

I submitted a ticket to them and it took ages to get back to them. They kept replying to my emails with “I just wanted to let you know that we’ll check the tickets” and didn’t really fix it.

Then, the worst thing happened. THEY TOOK ANOTHER $49 FROM MY ACCOUNT yesterday (Monday, September 2, 2024) without my knowledge. I AM SO ANGRY AT SKILLSHARE. Don't register, this is my personal experience. I am a student, money is not easy for me, and skillshare robbed me twice in a week.

I will close my bank account after class. I'm afraid they will rob me again. THIS IS A SCAM DISGUISED AS A COURSE PLATFORM. Skillshare please refund my money, I have submitted a ticket.

I will write an update if there is any development. If not, I will continue to warn people about skillshare so they don't end up like me.

I just started my channel a month ago and know nothing. So i signed up for skillshare to learn how to use Canva. We'll see where things go from here. So far so good!

Are there ads in the courses that popup while you're trying to learn them

Skillshare is a fraudulent company! They're notorious for continuing to charge you after you cancel and refusing refunds. I cancelled 3 yrs ago, and just found out they've been charging me all that time, no notice, no receipts, just a sneaky credit card charge once a year. And I'm not the only one, I found literally hundreds of similar complaints of Skillshare fraud. They know that they're doing it.

bro i’m having the worst luck with skillshare. I fully cancelled my free trial WEEKS ago. and they still charged me $165 for a year subscription. even tho I cancelled. Tried contacting customer service, 0 luck so far.

They have a free 3 months thru select creators too.

I don't think $168 per year is very expensive to get access to all those courses. I think it's fair as long as you use it regularly. If they don't charge money then no one will want to teach on there. It's not very expensive. Netflix is about the same price, and it's just entertainment mostly. Online courses give you skills that make you more marketable.

You can get a 3-months free trail as a new member if you know where to look

Fraud Skill share ❌I have purchased skill share course and paid 1923rs Indian rupees through Paytm but after my payment they said they did not recived any payment. Then I asked Paytm company they are saying payment was successfully done. After this I send them screen shots many times but they are not replying of my screen shot and continuously they are ignoring my msgs. I am tired to mail these Assholes. They are not my giving money back and apart from this I am not able access courses. Share this msg to maximum people so other people don’t stuck in this scam.

l am still in high school,l am not interested in going to college or university so l want to do online courses and skillshare has been recommended.Can l join the courses even if lm not in the US?

$168 per year isn't a lot at all. Also, if the skill you are learning makes you money on a regular basis then it pays for itself.

I canceled my subscription and they still charged me 280$ for a yearly subscription which I never even signed up for. I found out and I canceled my subscription, deleted my payment information, but they still managed to charge me 280$ for the 2nd time in a couple of days, and they are completely ignoring my emails. I emptied my bank account and they keep trying to charge me the same amount over and over again but thankfully now the payment isn't going through,
I found other people who had the same issue so be careful.

it can be hell trying to cancel. my email changed and it is back and forth trying to reset password. I can see small claim suit on this.

LOL "I have seen a skill share ad" 🤣🤣you do sound like the AD. FCP is great. It was pretty easy for me to pick up as I am graphic designer and I know a lot about PS. I know what you mean about memberships. I joined Babble and it is not expensive. Even though I did not use it for a long time due to all these things that happened in my life. But it is super affordable so I didn't mind. And I am starting to use it again. Yes annually is way better and that is not a bad price. This was a great review. New subbie here and I am so going to check out his channel! Hope we can connect and keep up the good work! 👍😘
