I also buy the Uni bits because after a while every one of the UNI bits you buy so bad so why not buying two of them for the same price you can buy one

I stopped shopping at Harbor freight for a long time as well. But more recently harbor freight has stepped up even their hand tools. Their icon line is really good. They have completely replicated some of the Snap-On tools that I have and even Knipex. They copied so closely I’m surprised it’s not a lawsuit. But yeah, I would not discount Harbor freight these days. They have really stepped up to make some good tools.

I hauled Harbor Freight Tools from Michigan to Miami to New Orleans and all points in between. One thing they all do, because they all unload around 5am. I’d see an employee bringing electrical tools and putting in the dumpster. But they would cut the power cord from every one of them. Cut, so it couldn’t be used

Hey everybody, been big on harbor freight ever since joining the trades. I would say maybe 40% of my overall tools are harbor freight. My personal favorite being the Hercules brushless impact, I have both the impact driver and the high torque wrench with anvil extension. Both have done serious work and I have had two tradesman with 30+ years in comment on my blue Hercules. I think they are great. Reasonable price point, if you get the battery tools a lot have a 5 year warranty, 3 years for batteries. Would love to see inside one of their impacts! Thanks all

After nearly 10 years I upgraded my chopsaw from HF to a ridgid and I gotta say, if the ridgid wasn't %50 off I'd have just gotten another HF so I could keep the slider.

Bought the Miter Saw shown over two years ago. It has worked flawlessly to this date.
I purchased it to build an outdoor shed for tools and garden equipment.
So far it’s the best motor driven tool I have.

I had the same opinion of Harbor Freight 15-20 years ago. Now, I buy exclusively Hercules and Icon. Even my toolboxes come from there. The value is tough to beat.

I got their Central Machinery lathe like 8 years ago for only $160 with a coupon, and it still holds up after all this time. Sure it's pretty bare bones with a 5 stage belt speed control, but it has never given me any issues that weren't just me being an idiot 😂 And I've got a drawer of those clamps, best ones I have and nearly half the price of what I used to spend on clamps.

Good vid. We had a Chicago hammer drill we put to the test breaking concrete day after day and I was always amazed how long it lasted. I've bought a roofing nailer that didn't last the day. It's hit or miss but they've stepped up their game considerably.
You sound a lot like Billy Bob Thorton . 😆

The laser shadow cut on the HF is standard?
On my dewalt it was an upgrade I think cost me about a hundred bucks and I had to install it myself.

Gotta agree about the purple paint gun, I got one for $9 with a coupon and it was great, I nuked it (my fault) so I bought another one, it was $14, still a great deal and I still have it. It handles a wide variety of finishes, though for spraying lacquer I like a higher quality gun. As for the miter saw, it's actually fairly pricey in my opinion, I got the Bosch axial glide for $50 more from Acme Tools and absolutely love it. The performance of the HF saw might be great for the money but I like the much smaller footprint of the Bosch. That being said, you have to wait for a deal to get the Bosch, and the HF saw is the same price every day.

Matthew, I'm a Harbor Freight Weekend Warrior and I love most of the products they offer. Your miter saw comparison was quality. I happen to have the Hercules saw you used in this video and I totally agree with you assessment. It IS a quality saw at a discount over the DeWalt. Is it "better"? Probably not, but with discounted price and the return policy HF offers, maybe a better deal overall.

Engines are a good deal, the parts washer is great, and yes, the clamps are the cat's meow!
Edit: they have carbide die grinder bits for cheap, they have great sandpaper I disagree with this guy, but I also don't sell my product, and a great price on an industrial paint sprayer. I buy replacement appliance wheels there as well.

Loved the reviews, haven't purchased anything from Harbor for about 30 years and when I did it was always automotive tools simply because they were cheap and did not cost much to replace. In short they all break ! I don't know if I will get around to it but I hope to do some repairs in this old trailer I live in and I will need to buy the normal wood working tools and a couple cheap nail guns to do what I need to do and they will probably never be used again. I will probably get a table saw because I have a lot of particle board flooring to replace in the kitchen and the bathroom so it would be handy for one man. I already bought a good 15 amp skil saw and could get by with using just that but my knees are 76 and don't bend so setting up a table to do the cuts and a cheap table saw would be helpful also. I will check out harbor freight since the cost is about as good as one would find. I did this once before and bought all Makita to do my roof and trim on the house I had at that time, those tools were very good but I moved to Nevada shortly after all that repair work and the tools electrical cords all just went to hell in a hand basket, cracked and brittle and looked like they were 50 years old.

I have a Bauer 10” miter saw and worked like a charm. Also have their bench too planer, impact, drill, multi tool, clamps, sawzaw, and they’ve all been good. Only had one stop working and it’s cause there’s some kind of issue with the speed knob on it. Haven’t opened it up to look yet.
