Thanks for a great tutorial. It is really beneficial for lawn renovation beginners. I am in the process of DIY lawn renovation process myself due to unresponsiveness of landscapers. I know I am a bit late for sowing seeds this year (14th October) therefore I am thinking of at least do some preparation ground work for spring. I wanted to kill off existing lawn using herbicides but there are still some green spots left and I guess due to vegetation slowing down, another treatment wouldn’t do any good. What is your suggestion I should do? Should I cover the lawn with foil and leave it over winter or should I try to mechanically remove old grass and weeds and do all preparation work (sanding, cultivating etc.)? Thanks for your answer in advance.

Bir şey sormak istiyorum:
Tohum ve silindir işlemi sonrası, üzerine 1-2 cm toprak atmayalım mı?

Requires so much elbow grease and a strong back. The video seems it's an easy job but no man. just no. You helped me a lot with this video. Thnak you.

When we built our house, I had to re-lay a lawn. I had to get tons of soil and put it in. I had to level everything by hand. It was well worth it and I had the best lawn in the neighborhood. You did a great job and I remember it very well thanks to your video. ❤

господин не понимает, что перекапывание земли ниже 15 см поднимает семена всех сорняков на поверхность. где они лежали годами, и тут их поднимают на поверхность. они прорастают быстрее травы. перекапывать надо не более 10 см, это максимальная глубина.

Few flaws in the process, its not necessary to put down too much seed, if its bunched like that it competes with one another and not only wastes seed but makes sparse sections of grass.

Hi, very informative video indeed. My lawn soil is very compact. I did grass seedlings three years ago but now only crab grass, dandoliens and xyz weeds left. Lots of crack on the lawn and i'm battling with bamboo rhizomes. I saw your videos and final results which i taken. First i will mow my lawn on very low height and cut all bamboos from surface whom are making seeds. Then i will spray vinaigre all over the lawn and will cover it with black plastic sheet for 6 weeks. Then i will start in july to tilling and add sand on the soil to loose it. Then next steps will come. I want to ask how can i know my compact soil is best for growing a healthy grass how can i test my soil i dont have any check here. And how could i know if i need to set ph or alkaline level of my soil. Or i just start what you recommend.

The problem is that the grass seed BY LAW and permission from the LAW contains 10 to 12% WEEDS seed - HomeDepot, Lowe's whatever - It is not pure grass seed - I am also very suspicious of them adding bugs eggs and grabs etc into the seed 'especially the coated seeds" - THIS way, they will sell you all sort of other products and continue to sell you grass seed year after year and season after season -

Top insights:

🛠️ The correct preparation of the soil is essential for successful growth of the turf, including removing weeds and mixing sand for compacted soil.

🌿 Using organic chicken manure as fertilizer provides a healthy source of nutrients for the soil without the use of chemicals that can be harmful to the environment.

🧹 Removing impurities and leveling the site is important for an even surface and a successful sowing process.

💦 Proper watering after sowing the grass is essential for seed germination and growth of grass.

🪱 Dealing with earthworms is important to ensure they don't damage the new lawn, especially in the spring and fall when they are active.

✂️ Regular mowing of the grass after its growth will help maintain a healthy and tidy lawn.
