Prince Michael excelled in giving us such insight not just into the life of Queen Victoria & her "sweet angel" Prince Albert, but others she'd grow to love as friends be they PMs or servants right up to Victorias death, what a fabulous docudrama I've had the pleasure of seeing! ⚘

To point out , the Cello Concerto at the beginning of Part 2 was composed by Elgar
and was performed by Jacqueline du Pre with Sir John Barbirolli conducting.

I don't like Victoria. Queen Elizabeth lost Prince Phillip but she has dignity unlike Victoria who was a deranged nympomaniac who blamed everything and everyone including Bertie for Albert's death. She was like George 111. She needed to be locked up permanently. She had no sympathy for the British people, as CharlesDickens has shown us. No sympathy for the suffering of the victims of theIrish Famine but ate like a pig herself. Victoria used her grief to manipulate everybody. AW POOR VICTORIA. ALWAYS TRYING TO MAKE OTHER PEOPLE SORRY FOR HER DID SHE EVER CARE ABOUT ANYBODY ELSE??. WHAT A HATEFUL WOMAN

HRH Prince Michael of Kent was the perfect presenter for this memorial of Victoria and Albert .

She should have remarried. There must have been someone suitable for her who could have helped her rule and sincerely seek the good of her family and kingdom.

Prince Michael did a bang up job with this documentary. Nicely paced, without any filler or fluff.

I do like Prince Michael. What an amazing resemblance to George 5th, and the Russian prince etc.

Does this guy dislike his ancestor, Queen Victoria? I always thought she was a great queen, but this documentary makes her out to be rather useless. Based on this documentary, the only decent thing she did was marry Albert who then basically ruled the country. And, when he died, she was useless. If that is the case, then why so many movies, etc that glamorize her as a strong woman. She seems like she was very lonely. I am glad she was able to find a couple people in her life willing to serve her and treat her like a human being.

I wonder if, mayber her beloved Albert did not do her any favors by taking on so much of the work. She seemed ill prepared to take back the reins until she finally finds her feet 20 years after his death.

I think, to be Queen or King has to be like living under a microscope with no real friends and the rest of the world eyeing you like an interesting bug.

Queen Victoria was my Favourite Queen Just like Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother my favourite Queens ❤😊
