America is going down hill. The cost of living has really gone up too much, but can't say the same for salary. People are fed up here with the current situation?
ОтветитьGood stuff, but I recommend lowering the background music or just removing it.
ОтветитьThis guy grow up in the ghetto? Detroit?
Ответитьbrave move and well done! you worked hard for your luck. well deserved
Ответить🤠🤠🤠🤠 Hello, John, thanks so much for posting 🤠🤠🤠🤠
ОтветитьI just discovered your channel, and I see what is missing in your life: You need to start reading some good books to feed your mind.
ОтветитьIs "expat" a fancy way of saying "migrant."
ОтветитьI just started my move to Asia! Wish me luck and hope everything is going well with you too!
Ответитьlife is much simpler and relaxing.. lot of places to visit..
ОтветитьQuestion, why do you keep checking you back? Head on a swivel?
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьPaid by China actor, blocked
Ответитьyou suck, leaving your country and going to live amongst our #1 enemy.
befriending our #1 enemy.
defending our #1 enemy online.
what is wrong with you?
Please tell us about the visa situation. How does someone like you apply for a permanent residency visa? Are you allowed to stay in China as long as you are still employed as a teacher? Can you retire there? We are having many different kinds of crisis in the US, and one of them is retirement crisis. Thank you.
ОтветитьReally? 15 years?
ОтветитьIt’s so crazy living in Los Angeles for 35 years, homeless in every big city, grocery prices so high, paying high auto insurance & gas because we have no other choice….But I can’t move to China because my children & grandchildren….I have lots of friends feel the same way, we all from Taiwan R.O.C. But love to go visit China our homeland……you are really lucky & smart made the right choice 15 years ago , you know how friendly Chinese people are…..they treat people from other countries like family from the heart, not just sweet talk like westerners 😅😂😊 wish you the best of luck in your of 2025 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьGood on ya man! My wife and I are planning on moving abroad as well for many of the reasons you talked about. We have a 3 year old and want her to grow up in a country where quality of life and community is more valued. Luckily we get a sabbatical with our jobs and will be able to test the waters to see if the fit is right. Hopefully in the next year!
ОтветитьDon't you feel isolated in this small city? Shouldn't you move to Shanghai where you can find more expats who you can relate to?
ОтветитьLiving a life without having to worry about politics, being robbed or lack of resources is living. Life is so simple that living worried about the work of others (politicians, criminals, etc.) is not living.
ОтветитьCan you do a short video on payment methods and shine on how to use WeChat properly as an American.. lots of confusing information and a lot of people say they end up getting their account blocked.. also still waiting on that video on how you have a dividend portfolio and how it’s performing and how you grew it really curious to that information .. of course you’re busy whenever you have time brother
ОтветитьSafest environment
ОтветитьAmerican living in China 2 years. Apart from the familiarity of America and my grandkids it’s hard to motivate myself to go back even to visit. It’s wonderful here primarily in that it’s void of drama, violence chaos and aggression. I normally comment here from another yt account but that account is completely infested with western drama feed. I had to abandon it. It’s partly my fault as it’s addictive to watch all the news drama. Any case it’s so peaceful here my biggest issue my wife works full time and it’s hard to get around in my own without knowing the language and I’ve been finding it difficult to learn it.
ОтветитьSubbed.
ОтветитьThe “polarization of politics” in the US is mostly hate. So many people are worked up on their own bigotry’s here and act like it just a matter of minor opinion disagreement they hate their neighbors. It’s sad and stressful
ОтветитьAmazing video. How do most other expats feel about living in China you think?
ОтветитьI won't stay in America for my daughter and granddaughters. I love them dearly, but we're going to have to video chat. I have no money but one thing I'm very good at, is making a lot of money. I have multiple lifetime Mandarin subscriptions so I'm learning the language. With big pharma & government corruption, the migrant population & drug crisis, living in communist China won't be so bad at all. It sounds like fresh air to me. It's bold, but I'm setting a goal to make 1 million in 5 years & move to China at 60! Who's with me?!
ОтветитьJust sent you a message on your IG... Leon.
ОтветитьHello from Chongqing! I've also been here for 15 years! Small world. I've been to Luoyang once and I loved it.
ОтветитьYou speak very wisely. Nice to hear.
ОтветитьI am listening to what you say and it sounds impressive.
I’m just wondering why then is here in Sydney packed with Chinese people settling here?
Is it possible to stay in China that long without a residency?
ОтветитьIt's really scary here in the US right now. China looks like paradise compared to what is happening here.
ОтветитьDude, I failed at living abroad in S Korea in 2014. Now that Im older, Im going to apply for ESL teacher jobs in a few weeks. China is where Im determined to go. I know itll be a challenge, but Im ready to leave the West behind. Terrible culture here in Canada of self hatred and racism (both traditional and anti-white racism). Its sad, but my mental health is bad. Chinas simplicity (I know its busy and Mandarin is difficult to learn) will be therapuetic for me.
ОтветитьYou are still young!😂
ОтветитьHow did you learn manderan to be able to teach English?
ОтветитьObviously a China shill, He been living in China for 15 years and can't even speak a word Chinese
ОтветитьI love the scenery I get to see on your walks. Hope you decided to stay and teach & coach in China, I'd miss the videos. I still want to see a video of you coaching your kids.
ОтветитьI am a Chinese born in Thailand and live in USA. I get 62 years old retirement social security. I am packing to live in Thailand. My goal is to live in China and retired in Xischuangbanna or Chaozhou because Xischuangbanna speaks Dai (Thai) and Chaozhou speaks Teochew. I speak both languages. I don't have to learn Mandarin.
ОтветитьYou don't go to dentist or doctor. Look at your teeth, need dentist before you have dental pain.
ОтветитьI didn't think you could smoke pot in China?
ОтветитьLots of little talk
ОтветитьSounds like you have an excellent situation there! I'm curious though about the language barrier. Have you learned the local language?
ОтветитьMy guy you've been living there for 15 YEARS. You're not an expat, you're an immigrant
ОтветитьGreat honest vid. China has many benefits. Sometimes a little lonely living in small cities. If that's what floats ya boat good for you
ОтветитьEven In most 1st tier cities... I can pay about 1400 USD per month and live in a luxury apartment in a beautiful area by the port. English signs and way of life. I can t do that in the west. Impossible.
Ответитьsweet man. i admire you.
ОтветитьYeah I quit watching at 1 minute because you still had not said anything. get to the fucking point
ОтветитьWOW, bro, I am new here, it's amazing that you have been living here for 15 years , you must speak very good Chinese, I know that some foreigners left during the COVID-19. Anyway enjoy your time.
