How to find the Best Lolita style for you

This is good advice! When looking at clothes in a style I haven't tried yet, I tend to just see if I can picture myself wearing them. If picturing myself in the clothes doesn't make me happy, I assume that it means wearing them won't either. Although having said that, I've also found that trial and error works well too :)

I chose to choose more than one style! :D I wear mostly sweet, but I also have a few gothic coords. I wear whatever I'm feeling that day. ^_^
Strangely enough, when I first discovered lolita fashion, I thought I was going to be a classic lolita. That was before prints were really popular, though, so I think my style changed as the fashion evolved, and I didn't buy any pieces back then.

Fantastic advice! I ordered a hideous sack of cloth from milanoo when I was in college because i didn't know any better. I tried tailoring it, shoved it in a closet for seven years, and finally gave it away to goodwill where someone might like it for a costume. If I had seen these tips then, I wouldn't have bought that "thing" masquerading as a dress and just made something myself.

I usually wear jeans or sweat pants and I'm a hermit. I like to add cardigans and sweaters to my outfits. How should I translate that to lolita?

Is there a problem if I wear 3 different types of Lolita style which are sweet lolita, classic lolita, and casual lolita. What I'm saying is, can I wear these lolita in different days like one I wear classic, then 1 day I wear sweet, and another day I wear casual.

Hi! I know this video is old, but this was nice to watch :) I have been in the fashion for several months now, and it definitely took lots of experimenting and buying the "wrong" dress a few times to figure out a pattern in what I really like, but my wardrobe is slowly becoming more cohesive! On the bright side, LaceMarket is so accessible and active, so I haven't had a problem finding a new home for the pieces that don't suit me :) I still consider myself a newbie in the fashion, so this was helpful for ideas to consider as I continue building my wardrobe!
