"Proper" name pronunciation is not found in a document but from the mouth and in the voice of the person whose name you are responsible for broadcasting.

This is solid advice. Pronunciations are so key to professionalism. Without them, you could call someone’s name and they never move and it wouldn’t be anyone’s fault but your own.

You mentioned this a while ago and it really works. On my cue cards/ipad I write it ONLY phonetically on the script. It really kills the anxiety when you get that tunnel vision on the dance floor haha.

This is solid info. For my clients with ethnic names I’ll ask them to send voice notes for proper pronunciations and write it out
