ОтветитьBro, great video, I'm subscribing and going back to your first video.
Hello from Maine
Seems like a pontoon boat would be good for hauling materials
ОтветитьAfter fracturing some ribs playing basketball and then spraining my ankle walking in the fog. This content has made me survive the Fall of 2024 and start of winter season in Vancouver. Keep it up Shawn as apparently I'm accident prone!
ОтветитьThankyou Tufte .😊
ОтветитьHave you considered cutting steps into the bank leading to the river?
ОтветитьHope you carry a firearm with you out in the bush. That's the first thing you need to know about living in the bush. Just saying
ОтветитьGoing "Old School" with your tools and gear is wise due to the unpredictable future we all face. I am very optimistic, yet I also am well prepared for any unseen future events that may leave us without our modern conveniences. Manual hand tools built this country. You have a river out front and a spring next door for potable water, add a year or more of stored foods, fishing gear, plus weapons and ammo and you can survive even the harshest winter without leaving home.
ОтветитьMight be time to splurge on a reliable vehicle, old Toyota’s are tough as nails!
ОтветитьWhat do you have for fish in that river?
ОтветитьHow's the fishing up there
ОтветитьTHAT IS CALLED ROUGHING IT
ОтветитьALL HE NEEDS KNOW IS A FLAT TIRE ON HIS 4X
ОтветитьMy heart dropped when you said the canoe was gone😂
ОтветитьHeh man, I enjoy your channel but just want to add a few words of caution. I see you working in the dark with a chainsaw, do you wear bucking pants? No way I would operate a chainsaw in a remote location alone without bucking pants, if you cut your leg a high probability you will die. Secondly I see you operating a skiff with a propped leg. It's only a matter of time before you run your skiff over a bar and there goes your prop - use a jet drive for your lower leg. Safety is always a concern but where you are and how you operate it is an extremely important concern.
Ok I see now you are using a jet drive, good job 👍
Does Tufte send gloves?
Ответитьvery cool. thats a lot of hard work. hauling all the wood. you can do it.
ОтветитьThanks Brother 😎
ОтветитьThanx for sharing, beautifull film.
ОтветитьI like the Art Deco cafeteria 🙂
ОтветитьHow long until the river reaches the cabin? 😅😢
ОтветитьThat’s an awesome place That’s beautiful. Once you get everything caught up, it’ll be wonderful👍👍🙏🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьPontoon boat. Safe, versatile, and so handy. Get a beater, remove unnecessary 'furniture' and railings, and put it to work.
ОтветитьIt's time for you to invest into a chainsaw mill
ОтветитьI thought no way is that train stopping. I enjoyed your video very much. For all the people that have been thinking about doing what you are doing, can be done. I view other channels. Like and enjoy them also. But picking up and just going all in was and is a big step.
ОтветитьThe second owl sound gave you a thumbs down buddy!!!!!!!
ОтветитьShawn why don't you have a spare boat engine
ОтветитьRight in front of your cabin, where you park your boat...
Two large logs placed at an angle, right in front of your boat..
Winch system to pull your boat safely out of the water when not in use.
So good to see you get all your building material to your cabin site. Also i am glad to see you will have 2 buildings with heat in them by winter. Most off grid people far back in the wilderness have 2 buildings with a heat source, even if 1 is just a tent. Cabins catching fire and burning down during winter does happen so its important to have at least a heated emergency shelter just incase because you may not always be able to get back to civilization right away if things do go bad.
ОтветитьGood channel and raw real stuff man. don't give up on this lifestyle, when you are old you will have lived good.
ОтветитьMan you have the worst luck but you always brush it off and just keep going. Wish i was more like you Shawn.
ОтветитьMaybe stahp buying EOL stuff?
ОтветитьGreat stuff. 👍
ОтветитьJim Baird lost his boat once...
Ответить“I was told the train would stop. It didn’t stop. Oh, maybe it stopped. It stopped!” Lol. Best part of the episode.
Thx for sharing. I appreciate you and so do so many others.
Glad the boat motor is fixed. Jinxed on the truck! Boo.
Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
Wow your should of started out with a new truck pickup.. saws .. boat motor!!!!
ОтветитьMay I suggest adding an LED light bar to that wretched old atv ....
ОтветитьMan Vacations. Woofing
ОтветитьMore great days of instruction. Appreciate you.
Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
Hey just a thought when you’re moving building materials with your boat, how about tying your other boat behind your boat like a pack horse and put materials in it less trips up and down the river.
ОтветитьHello, are you going to name the ermine? They can make for nice company, smart.
ОтветитьGreat video and. Intent! Thank you
Ответитьposting a post to add a post and hope it helps
ОтветитьThat's pretty friggin cool that the train will stop for you out in the middle of nowhere. I know you've got tons of work to do but it would be neat to see the log cabin renovated fire an emergency cabin if you needed it.
ОтветитьI see they've upgraded the train since I rode it.
ОтветитьAnother great long video for our enjoyment, thank you!
ОтветитьHi Shawn. FYI I would suggest that you break up that beaver pond and drain it it will keep getting bigger and eventually kill the trees . There are some you tube channels on draining these destructive ponds : you will need a 4 prong garden rake to assist you. Would make for some interesting footage too
