Meyer Lansky: The Mob's Accountant (1902 - 1983)

Meyer Lansky was a Jewish-American organized crime figure who was instrumental in the development of the National Crime Syndicate in the United States. At his peak in the 1970's it is said that his total holdings were estimated to be over $300,000,000. He held major interests in the gambling scene both in the USA, and in the pre-Castro era of Cuba.
