The thing about this SCP is that theoretically, to stop the necessary execution of 80% of the knowing population that are important, they could expose the document to 100s or 1000s of D-class or maximum security prisoner personnel before sustaining a similar bombardment on the facility. Other than the ethics comity being involved, I imagine that the 0-5 council would immediately have this method at their disposal should a situation run amiss.

I like the SCPs that include people with disabilities, and the ones that treat D class like human beings. This one has both.

The orbital solution proposed just begs the question, "Why not just shoot them into space?" Just tell Mikey that they're going on an adventure and tell no one what is in the capsule you put them in. Have enough hand-offs and nobody will know what's happening.

This feels like an scp that needs be launched into space.

I might get flak for this, but as someone with many folks with autism in my life, I feel like the infantilization of Mike is kinda gross. They really portray folks with autism to be just adult-children, instead of folks with different needs. The concept of the SCP is interesting enough, and the bait-and-switch with the D-class is a cool touch, but I feel like they didn't need to portray him as a mercurial man-child, but maybe I'm overly sensitive here. Not Volgun's fault at all, just a critique of the writing itself.

honestly putting this thing on a rocket marketed as a voyager-like shuttle and shooting it as far into space as possible is the best option for getting rid of the bear.

Sounds like the best solution is to have Mikey be put in a one way space ship with 1055 in it with personnel oblivious to what it can do prepping the flight and (even though it’s at the expense of Mikey’s life) yeets the eldritch Teddy Bear into outer space

I alsways really like it when scp’s like this take a look at the actual morality behind its containment, I feel a lot of SCP’s kinda have containment procedures akin to “sacrifice 34 virgins every 4 hours” and never reeeeeally look at the actual implications of that? The idea that the foundation is already setting up other children with similar neurodiverse syndromes to take over if needed is pretty crazy to me, and I like that people at the foundation are actually taking issue with it, but are forced by circumstance to continue. The foundation should be hard cold and consider people expendable but only by necessity and not just because they feel like it in my opinion. And I think this SCP executes that idea really well

Those one is really bad.

There's tons of scp's that could end the world at any moment, so that aspect of the story isn't very frightening, but what's actually messed up to think about is that they had a intellectually disabled d-class. They took a man who is not a functional adult and has a limited awareness of his surroundings add put him in a box with a bunch of rapists and murderers so that along with them he can be experimented on and tortured and then eventually killed.
