Fuelling the Future - The Evolution of ECOnnect Energy

ECOnnect was founded to make clean fuel available to communities around the world, by simplifying the transfer of energy from ships. That was the genesis of the jettyless IQuay.

In 2017 ECOnnect launched the world’s first floating, jettyless terminal, marking a major milestone in both the energy and maritime industries.

Since then, the company has also focused on low-carbon energy solutions with a technology portfolio for renewable fuels and emissions mitigation.

From offshore LNG and green ammonia export, to ammonia bunkering terminals and carbon capture efforts, ECOnnect is now engaged in projects across the globe.

Today, ECOnnect is delivering two IQuays to New Fortress Energy’s fast LNG project in the Gulf of Mexico, and in Germany, TES and ECOnnect Energy are delivering fast-track energy import to Wilhelmshaven to bolster Germany’s energy security. Additionally, ECOnnect’s joint venture Azane Fuel Solutions is receiving significant investments to continue decarbonising shipping with clean ammonia bunkering.

Looking forward, ECOnnect has further developed the IQuay solution for various applications including regasification and renewable energy transfer
