IT companies should penetrate to 2nd grade cities... Cutues like Blore, Chennai, Hyd, Pune, Delhi, NcR are already choked.
While Nagpur, Indore, Bhuva are coming up. It is not enough

Pai sir pls insist on this

i guess this shows you missing the big picture. @Mohandaspai in 1940s & 50-60s a nation had to be built - with a religious civil war/genocide just ended - multiple languages, religions & cultures - all of them to be assimilated into one nation and on top of that a poor nation. You could not have a capitalist policy then, because it would have exacerbated the gap between the vast poor and the few rich and would have torn the nation apart and fuelled another civil war. (communism) So it was a very delicate balancing act. YOU HAVE TO BUILD A NATION BEFORE YOU CAN GROW IT. so to critize PM Nehru facing so many challenges is just presentism at its worst. Just look at all the countries which gained independence during the same period in our region and compare where we are - they didnt even have a tenth of the challenges we faced. you talking about another 1/1.5% additional growth during that time is missing the woods for the trees. I guess that explains why you could never become the CEO. May be Mr.Murthy was right after all.

Agree on some of his points. But we are seeing inequality. The 3rd largest economy should broken down into different economic parameters to assess the progress.. then it will be fair analysis

1. GDP per capita
2. Income inequality
3. Health - nutrition (stunting)
4. Spending power

… the list goes on

Mohan Das Pai, should apply the analogy of start up for a country' s Independence and the conditions in which it was born. Like so many problems he told about the start up, Leadership of independent India faced much severe problems. He must know that the prediction for the country when it had become independent was that country would disintegrate into 20 small countries because of the diversity of this nation. Today, after 75 years, we are still one country, fourth largest economy in the world. Just because, one has become prominent citizen, one should not talk through their hat. Shame on him.

Sorry Mr. Pai, I agree with most of what you said here but not with your so highly positive opinion about MKG because you say that he fought with the British, but did he? Tagore, after J'walabagh episode when British Govt was not allowing anyone to enter the town to avoid any publicity, had written to Gandhi suggesting that the two of them try and visit the town to show their reaction to the inhuman treatment against a bunch of unarmed civilians of various ages, to which initially he didn't receive any reply then after a long delay MKG had refused, saying that "I wouldn't like to embarrass the govt at this juncture!"" Can't describe this as fighting the British for sure and this is just one out of so many that makes many like me come to this firm conclusion that he was a handmade agent of the British imported from SA after giving him a lengthy training to work as their double agent! Then how about his unabashed backing of the Mohammedans while being almost anti-Hindu exactly in line with today's pseudo-sickularists - was it something supportable coming from anyone? I for one don't think so. Well, I am a very insignificant person in your comparison but let me tell you that I too am a Graduate Engineer having studied in one of the Regional Engg Colleges having passed out in 1969 having been born eight months prior to Independence, although I don't admit to ours being a true independence - ours was just a Transfer Of Power! Well, I kind of like your approach in life, which seems to be an honest one, hence so frank and lengthy a remark to your viewpoints. Hope, you won't mind!

Infosys is currently working on several Government of India (GOI) projects, including "Integrated E-filing and Centralised Processing Centre 2.0." "Integrated E-filing and Centralised Processing Centre 1.0" did not meet the expectations of 40 to 50 percent customer satisfaction due to a significant hassle and backlog in processing IT returns two years ago. If a similar situation were to occur in America, the UK, or any other country, they could potentially face legal action against Infosys.

Mohan Das Pai would definitely praise any Prime Minister other than Honorable PM Narendra Modi.; otherwise, they might not secure any government project.

If nehru would build institutions, Mr pai we would have engineers and IIT and AIIMs. As leaders you do what is right when it’s required.

Also to tell you during The Times of Moguls India was the richest country and India’s GDP was the largest.

Also Moguls have not looted India. They have built India and not taken anything. British did and some people during those times linked to the current ruling party helped them.
