Hi Kristine! Definitely not a hot press fan - cold and rough press suit my style so if I'm doing a card for example with both WC and a dip pen I'll use the Soft Press to avoid the HP. Also, water control game must be top notch and as you demonstrate here, you are very skilled with it!
I'm curious, what papers are you using here?
Very nice Kristine❤🌹🌹
ОтветитьEither way, thats a pretty petal drawing.
ОтветитьI just got some hot pressed. Which do u prefer Kristine?
ОтветитьGreat video illustrating the difference!
ОтветитьIf I’m using gouache I prefer to use hot press paper while using watercolor for cold press paper it gives of a rustyl like feel when painting. Nice painting !
ОтветитьI always think of them as fabric. You can't iron wrinkles out with a "cold" iron (texture). You need a "hot" iron to get wrinkles out (smooth).
ОтветитьSo bummed I ordered hot instead of cold pressed, I prefer the look and the workability demonstrated on cold pressed
ОтветитьI prefer the hot pressed petal, looks smoother, softer and prettier! 😍
ОтветитьWonderful example! Ive historically used coldpress, but i do own hotpress. Been too nervous to try!
ОтветитьCan you tell me paper Name ❤
ОтветитьPaper name
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThank you for this video short. During the past few months, I’ve really been sort of studying various brands of watercolor paper. All of which were advertised as cotton, or cotton linen blend. Lots of variations between brands. Looks like you compared Arches cold and hot pressed here. But there are many variations, based on brand interpretation. So far, Arche and Khadi seem to show my work to the best advantage, but there are others who are close to becoming contenders as well. Then, there are some that are made by companies, brands who are clueless about things like sizing and such. But then again, so am I…but I’m learning! 😄
ОтветитьWhich paper is this?
ОтветитьPretty pink petals!
Ответитьwhich brand paper are these thanks
ОтветитьAre they both cotton?
ОтветитьWhich paper you are using
ОтветитьThe hot pressed is probably a 100 percent cotton one
or else the Paint wont flow this smoothly
I know I'm pretty late but is it watercolor paper?
ОтветитьThe difference is cold is more wrinkles than hot.issue is may be I am using hot one but I don't get results in water color painting
