Here’s the truth, in the United States over 40% of the people that have owned EV‘s are returning to gas engines. There are too many problems, not enough range in real driving conditions and complicated software issues and the realization that the whole climate change initiative is one big scam have thinking people and people with more discretionary income still wanting sophisticated combustion engines and I predict this EV push will shortly recoil back/truly there can be numerous power plant possibilities for vehicles and combustion engines are solidly one of them if Bmw throws all its eggs into the EV or hybrid market they will get destroyed as soon as a hybrid is initiated in a vehicle. It’s white goes up at least 500 pounds. Nobody talks about that. People don’t talk about the fire issues with batteries either as that is being suppressed. This is the globalist push to have China as a dominant player.

Battery ev and hydrogen - both bullsh…t.
Electricity and hydrogen not exist in nature by itself. Need a lot of fossil fuel to get.
Petrol, diesel and even LPG can just stay in plastic bottles. Electricity- isn’t. Hydrogen- also.
Hydrogen mostly obtained from Methane.

Why not just run car on Methane? Why convert it to hydrogen before put in to car. Or make electricity and put in to car?

Just Run CAR on Methane!!!

If you raise the import taxes, China will raise the price of their batteries or raw materials.
Not a win-win situation.

Surely the 2035 ICE ban is intended to eliminate car ownership for everyone except ‘elites’? You poor people need to quietly return to your wage slavery and show more respect to your betters… or vote differently.

EV cars are the future and let us hope we have better alternative energy sources that is safe and reliable to use in our modern car. Currently, Lithium batteries are difficult to mine and they are fire hazard issues to the surrounding environment impact we are living here.

The EU 2035 ban on combustion engine cars is only for the sale of new cars, so I envisage that people will just keep their current combustion cars longer, Here, in the UK, the government wants it to be 2030. But I don't worry, as neither will happen.

BMW used to make fast reliable handling drivers cars up until the mid 1990's but now makes unreliable breakable plastic-infested junk thats just like driving a cheap plastic computer with a fast-draining battery which could go up like a torch if you hit a deep puddle or bump it on a kerb....... the thing they need to make is a Time Machine so they can return to the 1990s and bring back those automotive engineers and designers!

Schadenfreude ist herrlich. Du erntest wass du saehst. IC free by 2035 ? Lot's of luck with that but considering the stupidity of the German people, the politicians of both Germany and the Eurozone they will still try and force this through. Thank God we now have a president (Trump) that will do away with this silliness of going green.

I think that moving to hydrogen powered cars is fools errand. Think about hydrogen distribution versus electrical distribution to cars. Electric distribution involves high voltage wire, hydrogen involves trucking, maybe pipe lines. In my case 99% of time I can charge my car at home, and for those who live in apartments they will be able to charge their cars at street parking, garages... Hydrogen cars imply more gas like stations... I think that BMW and Toyota CEOs lost their minds pushing hydrogen, that will not happen. They should spend more energy to figure out how to successfuly compete with the Chinese automakers. Both BMW and Toyota are very good and inventive car companies, they can do it in electric domain!

The country that builds the most solar and wind for electricity generation will win in the end. A very foolish person does not see the potential. Every year, the panels are putting out more power. Batteries are getting cheaper. Its just going to get better. You can see the foolish on here with no foresight. Countries with people like them will fall behind. Its like when computers were being invented. The foolish ones said those will only be used by big corporations. Why would a person need a computer at their house.

Why are BMW taking so long to release the Neue Klasse? Why did they stop innovating after the i3? The multi option successors have been uninspiring to say the least, the Neue Klasse vehicles might be great but not if they don’t release them for 2 years. Forget Hydrogen, too complex, most of the buying public is not interested.

(Q). If FCEVs are highly hazardous, will residents want to live above these thousand FCEVs parked in multiple basement lots?

It's highly unlikely that residents would want to live above a thousand FCEVs parked in multiple basement lots, given the hazardous risks associated with hydrogen fuel. The concerns would be:

1. _Explosion and fire risks_: Residents would worry about the potential for explosions and fires, which could put their lives at risk.
2. _Toxic gas exposure_: Hydrogen leaks could lead to toxic gas exposure, posing health risks to residents.
3. _Noise and vibrations_: FCEVs' high-pressure fueling and refueling processes could generate noise and vibrations, causing discomfort to residents.
4. _Property value concerns_: The presence of FCEVs in the basement could negatively impact property values, as residents might view it as a hazardous liability.
