when i was a kid, and i'm more or less the same age as Lindsay, the asteroid was treated as a probable hypothesis, but not a sure one. i'm fascinated by the fact that even in about 20 years, our knowledge has expanded enough to be sure of this incredible event. how nice is science!!

Aren't ammonites tenticle size kind of limited to the latest shell "pocket". I mean they can be long sure, but the mass should fit inside the shell if needed, for defence, right?

Lindsay, as a word nut and fan of long fancy words, I can say that a possible reason for using the long, complicated form is that some of them are really, really, fun to say out loud; like adjudication. Rolls right off the tongue "Ad-ju-di-ca-shun". The other is that, if you know the word, it is very hard to resist the urge to use the word as often as possible because otherwise it bounces around the inside of your skull slowly driving you insane until you do find an excuse to use it. That is my experience, at least. Also I can firmly recommend against trying to memorize a dictionary. The human brain cannot hold that many words and have room for anything else. I know because teenage me tried to do this and I now know way to many useless words beginning with "A".

You know it’s kinda weird, you and my girlfriend both have the same nose ring. And you both like biology, you make you tube she collects bones. You also both have similar style and facial structure. It’s uncanny how similar you too are. 🫠

Despite your fast speech and insertion of other video fragments for humor, I have no problem in understanding what you're saying and your videos move in an easy to follow flow. Thank you for presenting biology in a clear, concise, and even fun way.

Romanian here, the Hațeg Island was named after the town of Hațeg in Hunedoara County, corresponding with the rough area of the island. The name Magyarosaur or the "Hungarian Lizard" is very interesting, although locally it's referred to as "Titanosaurus dacus" or the Dacian Titanic Lizard LOL.

I'm sorry that this comment contrasts so hard against the other ones, but this looks like a Paleontology video marketed to the precursor to the Idiocracy generation. I like science stuff, but every time this girl comes up, she reminds me of those toddlers with parents trying to make them do something cute to snap a picture/video of them, but they'd rather be doing literally anything else.

Love the videos! Some are a little gross, I don't like bugs or bug like animals. They freak me out but I still watch the videos. Through my fingers but it still counts. I love shark videos and whales. Dinosaurs are great too. I like learning about the dinosaurs that I've never heard of before.
