Property tax is land theft if you buy the land you own it outright and if you are outside city limits you should be able to do whatever you want
ОтветитьLots of people here talking this down. Sounds like they needed to invert their finances. Married 5 years and. Mortgage in Rhodes Ranch? They had $2700 mortgage at the low end. Now their income is disposable and are paying/building as cash comes in. A 1hr drive to and from 5days a week is an expense they can afford, highway miles too on the 93. Driving in the city of vegas to and from work is a good 15 to 20 mins or so. So its not too bad. They aren’t drilling a well because it 800+ft deep min and they aren’t gonna catch any water that area is 2”/yr. They aren’t growing anything without importing amendments, so a small area would work. If they did their homework they would have gone to…. 🤐 where water table is easier to reach. I know why he chose that part of AZ and why he thinks he can sell it in a few years, but I wont spoil it.
ОтветитьNature is peace
ОтветитьAin't easy but is doable
ОтветитьWith americas property taxes being ridiculously high in every city, many citizens are probably gonna do this and abandon all cities. People are literally being forced to move out of homes they’ve spent 40yrs paying off. Smh
ОтветитьWe dont want you guys here..the Arizona Native Patriot Militia says get out or else
ОтветитьMuch respect and live to them! Best wishes
ОтветитьSomeone should tell them that we hardly get any rain here. Good luck with collecting a tiny bit of water.
ОтветитьSMART. It's Worth the struggle!!😊
ОтветитьConsidering the geography, give them a couple astronaut suits and they are literally in Mars creating a self sustaining colony lol
ОтветитьI lived in a rural desert area north of Los Angeles (about a 1hr and half drive). And believe me living was a challenge..from commuting to work, far from stores/gas stations (and the general stores that were near were expensive) growing plants/food was not always easy due to the extreme heat/ high winds, also it gets really really cold during winter months, wildfire and the dangerous it posed for our livestock( chickens, goats, etc.) WiFi at the time was very spotty and barely worked, I could go on.. but I get a feeling this people don’t understand what they are really getting into, and have this fantasy of living this lifestyle that they’ll grow tired and weary. And believe me “city folks” will eventually get bored and resort back to the city where everything is more convenient. Nothing wrong with that! Because after 22 years I moved into town and love it.
ОтветитьLiving off grid is becoming more and more popular. Some Americans that are living in the Philippines are partially or totally living off the grid. Solar setups are much less expensive than they are here (including storage batteries) and digging a well for water is simple. You’d think that solar would be much more affordable in the U.S. with the push to “go green”. In Arizona there is plenty of sun so electricity shouldn’t be a problem as long as they have a suitable number of storage batteries. Water is going to be the real challenge for them unless they’re able to dig a well.
ОтветитьThey are not off grid anymore they showed everyone where they live
Ответитьall is good doing this until you get a diagnosis
ОтветитьI'm paying $8k a month to stay in my crime-ridden area of California. Holy smokes!
ОтветитьIts always arizona we are tired yall coming here
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьGet ready for neighbors
ОтветитьThis can be done but monopoly companies won't let it happen
ОтветитьThis is the American dream.
ОтветитьThat '$40/yr to live out here' property tax was for the raw undeveloped land. They'll be back. Septic cost? That desert rain water catchment is not enough to keep up with human needs, their garden, those planted trees. And so much more. This is an advertisement. All those future builds they speak of. Btw, that water tank is a few thousand dollars alone. $olar. Yeah, no on grid bills, just off grid investments. I know what I speak of... Off grid remote myself on beautiful treed acreage.
ОтветитьSmart people getting away from the stupidity
ОтветитьONLY THING THAT WOULD BOTHER ME IS TO NOT HAVE MEDICAL CARE NEARBY
ОтветитьShe thinks she's white look at this sell out

ОтветитьWhen your family teaches you to do the basics how to cook well and other basic things sure you can make it in this kind of environment, these things you don't learn in a couple of years
Ответить"Never lived in trailer, never lived in a double wide. I'm a city girl." Wait until she hears about trailer parks that are in cities

Ответить900 sf is not a tiny house.
Ответитьlets see how long this marriage lasts living out in the boondocks...
ОтветитьEnjoy the heat.
ОтветитьMust take a lot of money to do something like that. I think I could afford to live off grid in a tent.😂
Ответить6 inch Walls would be great.😅
ОтветитьIs that the braking bad cop
ОтветитьWGAF
ОтветитьThese two are my spirit animals! Love what they’re doing here & very inspired as well. 👏
ОтветитьThat’s what I’m talking about
Just beware of the wildlife!
Oxymoron. Live off grid to be self-sufficient, but dependent on a city job.
ОтветитьLiving the Dream
ОтветитьIf you want to live without all the hassles and government interference just vote the democrats out of office vote trump
ОтветитьThey did it right! People want to live free, without government interference and without being crammed together with a bunch of other people
ОтветитьGovernment and corporations don't like that. They want you to be on the grid and not be able to farm or be self sufficient.
ОтветитьWhat a about air conditioning?
