It's true American's like the sound of there own voice.
ОтветитьThe hardest thing about changing oil is keeping Hunter Biden from trying to smoke the old oil.
ОтветитьWow that could of cost a lot of money if he didnt go for a second opinion
ОтветитьTire Kingdom wanted to charge me $3,000 for a stripped oil screw, they stripped and messed up. I found the new pan in $8 in ebay and 2 hours of my time to fix it!
ОтветитьWow the guy was smart enough to bring it to Dave's, koodos....hey get a second opinion its free! Diagnos, repair, and always always check youre work...its math or as good as...
ОтветитьRemember they do not make any Money on Oil Changes, lucky if they break even. And yes of course sometimes you may need new wind shield wippers or a new fan belt.
ОтветитьThe dealership should be named and shamed so that others are aware and not take their cars there to be cheated!! That's the only way to teach such people a hard lesson!!
ОтветитьLiterally having diarrhea while I’m watching this lol
ОтветитьHmm, I wonder if someone at the dealership was thinking it's time for him to buy a new car and they can lowball him on the trade. Maybe not, but I wouldn't rule it out. Yet another reason why I don't like taking a car to the dealer's garage.
ОтветитьId love to know which shady Mazda delearship that was.
ОтветитьDefective coolant pump. It never takes 25 pumps to bring pressure up.
Pump up to 15lbs per cap rating. Never go beyond that or you will create new leaks...
Boy he was full.of gas
ОтветитьAntifreeze sinks to bottom of oil pan, why not crack the plug and see if any water comes out?
ОтветитьNobody touches my car but myself. I'll even take the wheels off myself when I get new tires. Trust nobody!
Ответитьwho would you want to do a head gasket on cars newer than last 29 years just to make money time wise there break aven time wise at best
ОтветитьMazda's are good for +500,000 miles so can not believe there are any problems with the engine at 90,000 miles.
ОтветитьTim Dahle Mazda, Salt Lake City was the dealer, maybe???
ОтветитьNot naming the workshop exposes more patrons.......
ОтветитьWow. Just wow. I would drive the car to the dealer afterward and call them out on their BS.
ОтветитьName the dealership!
ОтветитьMy wife had a 2023 outback. I check the oil
Every 1000 -1200
Miles. It never looses oil. Your videos and information are incredible. Thanks so much. Let me about her outback. Would appreciate it. Again thanks so much for all your information. I wish there were people so concerned where I live.
Dave is like Abe Lincoln. He seems like such a genuine guy.
ОтветитьKinda wild for so many of these shops to gouge people. I do a bit of mechanic work, on the side, and have way more work than I could ever get to. It's like there's a never ending supply of work. Of course, I have no overhead, but still not sure why so many shops feel the need to gouge.
ОтветитьStealerShip’s
ОтветитьAll shops do that to make money or take your car from you
ОтветитьThe funny part is why would the stealership try and sell him a new car if his car had less than 100k on the clock? In a way they're trying to say "our cars don't last a long time, wanna buy another?" I hope nobody else falls for their scams, because the stealership will find out quickly that lying doesn't pay
ОтветитьI appreciate honesty, truth goes a long way. Glad this guy got a second opinion from an honest shop owner. Super Dave.
ОтветитьThis is why I don’t get anything done at dealers anymore. Absolutely untrustworthy. Any relationship where you depend on someone and they are incentivized to be dishonest with you is a bad one to be in.
ОтветитьStealerships doing their dirty work in plain site! Used to work at a dealership years ago, I witnessed service advisors telling mechanics to write up a nasty repair order quote when all the car needed at the time was new brake pads.
Stealerships don't make money on their cars. They make money in their SERVICE department, fixing cars that don't need to be repaired.
BE CAREFUL PEOPLE, SECOND OPINIONS ARE WORTH YOUR TIME!
The Stealership? 😆😆😆
ОтветитьYou guys must be swamped dealing with kids wanting apprenticeships...
..and dealing with the parents....
If dealership didn't sell any cars or get repairs , will the government give any tax exemption? I'm not supporting stealerships but trying to figure a way out. Nobody is born with dishonesty. The government is simply sanctioning producting too many cars per year per population .than needed.
One person cannot buy more than 4 cars in his lifetime. Then what will happen?
If education doesn't produce honest people, then where the hell is advancement of civilization? In cheating?
After reading the tons of such comments and videos
After watching this video... I think I'm gonna go check my oil. Lol
ОтветитьDo what I do, Lawyer Up!
ОтветитьThese two can have their own series together
ОтветитьI would NEVER go to that dealership or contact them again. Not even to call and tell them they’re wrong lol
I guarantee they saw the miles, and the cooking system CEL and called it head gaskets. 🤦🏻♂️
It's unfortunate but they car dealerships businesses import Specialists like that need to be called out and reported to the Better Business Bureau and also to the television stations that televised stories about businesses conducting businesses just to make money have repairs made without needing to be made and them trying to sell a card to somebody if they said that the engine is shot? Either way the customers should get a second opinion and document and even take a clip on camera body cam and record the situations and pass it on to the television stations I think they should go as far as getting someone to look into that businesses records and find out how many customers they've done the same way since they should be a class action lawsuit against that business!
ОтветитьNot all dealerships are like this and certainly not all mechanics are like this. I have run my own shop, and currently work at a dealership. Every day whether it was my shop or at an independent garage, or at the dealership, I have strived to do things honestly and correctly and never sell the customer anything they don't need. I hate that our trade has this reputation of being run by a bunch of thieves butnits places that do shit like they tried to do to this guy that make it an uphill battle everyday. Even the manufacturers don't trust us which is why it's such a pain in the ass to get stuff covered under warranty. It really makes me sad and infuriates me.
ОтветитьHell with that, people need to know what dealerships are doing all this nonsense. Dealerships need to be accountable for their actions.
ОтветитьF that tell who the dealer was so no one else will get scammed.
ОтветитьNever go to the dealer unless it's under warranty and then get a second opinion I have went to the dealer with a vehicle and then come back cuz this was a warranty item that was a recall and get there and then they say oh you need this and this and said that it was leaking transmission fluid from the transmission cooler and the transmission cooler and the air conditioner condenser was the same unit I've been a mechanic all my life and I crawled up under it and there was no oil of any type anywhere under that vehicle except where that line hooked up the transmission line hooked up to the cooler and it was not connected fully they had disconnected it let some coolant come out of it and run down the parking lot while it was parked and then tried to tell me that I needed to spend $2,700 for that unit and I told him that they were full of shit and that mechanic I told him what he did and they kept on so I walked straight out the service department into the showroom so that every customer could hear me raise hell and hear them tell me one thing and me call him a liar then I went to my lawyer and showed him he had another mechanic look at it he said no this vehicle has not been leaking at all and we sue them 15,000 and got every bit of it
ОтветитьGoing to stealership was the first mistake.
ОтветитьThat dealer was hoping he couldn't afford a new engine and wanted him to trade it in on a car so they could fix it and sell it for big profit.
ОтветитьI brought an Eagle Vision TSI I had bought new for it’s second oil change, the waiting room had a view of the repair bays and I noticed my mechanic was yelling at someone on the phone then slammed the hood and shortly after that I drove away with a car without any oil. The shop was good about it but insurance only provided me with a bottom end done by Chrysler, the engine was never quite right and I got rid of it at 70K.
Ответитьafter watching so many of Dave's Auto videos, I simply don't trust most other shops that aren't open or have hacks working there. Dave's is #1
ОтветитьMy 09 Mazda has 250k... :)
ОтветитьAVOID THE DEALERSHIPS IF YOU CAN
ОтветитьI've been watching Dave's video for a while and the customer interaction is First Class in every case. I would want this over the typical "we'll take care of it" and then provide the bill.
Ответить
