Urban Coyote Pack Howling

This video is 4 years old so this comment will probably be irrelevant but we always used to play this video for our black lab named Junior. He’d always howl and bark and it was the funniest thing. Unfortunately he passed away last spring but this video brings me back to those days when he was making us all laugh :)

one of these coyotes has mange and so im guessing they are all going to get it too. i also think they are heavily infested with parasites considering one was trying to poop while walking and nothing was visibly coming out. probs worms of some sort. poor things

Camping in mountains so Cal, end of season so alone, drinking beer, big fire, then darting by, one then another, many pair of glowing eyes, maybe 20 sets, huge racket........I slept in truck lol

Thanks for sharing this. This is a good educational video on the sounds a Coyote makes if people didn't know. If they hear strange noises at night and don't know what it is. It could be Coyote's, if not, it might be Gremlins.

I live in Joshua Tree. My new neighbors heard the coyotes for the first time and thought that it was a bachelorette party at an air b &b!

Heard crazy sounds last night. Sounded like they were celebrating a kill. 😮 😳

This is exactly what happened to me tonight, I was walking through a wooded area close to my house, there were sirens going off in the distance, then I heard coyotes responding to the sirens

Was out running late at night in my cc that’s in the mountains, I do it a lot, and often times other sports practice at night too. But this last night was different, what sounded like women screaming to sirens then to the realization of at least a handful of coyotes which sounded to be near above me in the hill. I didn’t bother to stay find and out, I booked it. Ran as fast and as smooth as can, making sure to not trip, try to not drop my keys, and get in my truck and drive. I did it but fuck was that fear something else. Pack of predators who can see, hear, and smell where I’m at, and me alone at night with a flashlight and nothing else.

Soooo this confirms it. I did not hear coyotes i heard wolves

when kids, we used to visit grandma place (semi forest area) in Kerala during our summer vacations of 1980s/90s, we often see this animal (in malayalam we call it Kurukan) in evening or early morning hunting for domestic hens/rabbits... during our sleep we often get disturbed hearing their cries (howling many at a time for 10-15 secs) in the middle of dead night... our elders also used to tell us stories of foxes, wild animals... those days are gone and even the foxes are hard to find due to human presence

I just went to check something outside and as soon as I opened the door I heard them wailing so loud like a bunch of banshees or an ambulance. Luckily my cat was nearby because he ran straight in the house. Little guy was looking paranoid after that.

Yes I thought I had to call 911 sounded like a woman getting murdered looked out it was coyotes and well this is why I’m here watching this video

About two years ago in texas. My husband and i were driving on his truck on an open road. Fields of green grass where no houses or civilization nearby. Out in the middle of the road a puppy stood patiently. She saw our truck and moved. And this pup was a newborn pup only a couple weeks old. since there was no one else on this road my husband gently hit the breaks and then backtracked to where we saw the pup. We picked it up took it home. Went to the vet the very next day. It cost us $300 to deparasitr her and give her shots, she had worms. I didnt want the responsibility of another dog $300 was alot for me at that time so i gave her to my aunt. My aunt had told my one day "she doesnt bark, i hear her yip. Like a coyote... i dont think you saved a stray dog."

Haha it’s cute that they cry back to the sirens! They do that in my area too-believe it or not in city limits by wooded areas

When I was a teenager I visited a friend who’s house was in a brand new neighborhood right on the edge of town in rural Texas. As the sun set I sat on the curb at a 4 way street intersection with my knees against my chest and messed with my phone while I smoked a cig. I noticed something moving down a few blocks and saw it was a small dog, thought nothing of it and kept looking at my phone. I looked up again and that small dog was now a big dog, and had silently approached to maybe 50 feet away from me. As I looked closer, I saw it was a large coyote who was crouching down like he was stalking his pray and was just about to pounce. The moment I realized what was going on the coyote suddenly sprinted towards me at full speed, I jumped to my feet and in one swift move jumped on the trunk of my car parked next to where I was sitting. The coyote looked genuinely surprised, and in an instant it sprinted off where it came from. No one else saw this happen, it was just me and the coyote having a strange interaction. The only thing I can figure is that the coyote thought I was very small, since I was sitting in a very compacted position with my limbs all tucked in together, so when I jumped up and suddenly went from a ball of creature to a 6ft tall human towering over the coyote on a car, it must have been very confusing for the coyote to see me animorph in to a massive ape god in the matter of seconds. I felt uneasy with that event since the neighborhood had many young children playing outside and they could have easily been attacked in my place. Oh and in that exact same neighborhood my other friend who lived on the very edge of this housing development and I saw a pack of coyotes drag a cat off in to the woods. It was some horror movie shit, 4 coyotes chase down a cat in the dead of night, making awful noises that made my friend and I go to the window just in time to see them drag the cat out from the orange hued light of the street lamp post and in to the dark woods. Coyotes are pretty awesome little pups, but I’ve had a strange history with them.
