fuck ulez and electric cars im never going to garbage evs all the more reason to keep your classic car for as long as possible and fuck the EU they are evil people
ОтветитьDid you mean to say scheme or scam ?.... fortunately I do not live in your cuntry( not dpellchiched)...
It's depressing....oh let's donate to Ukraine...you are being kidded...... bizarre 😊
A lot of these cars haven't been scrapped and are just sitting on disused runways.
Some videos can be found on here of these cars just slowly rusting away.
A citroen ax gt, punto cabriolet, ford scorpio ultima 24v, 4 ford escort gtis and a leyland princess were scrapped 😓
ОтветитьThat what you get for not abolishing Communism and inviting foreigners into your country
ОтветитьIn the wastelands south of Kings Cross Station there resides a Fiat Croma, E registration in white with a blue interior. I walked past it a short while ago on the way to work. Somebody must really like it.
ОтветитьHI I keep getting unsubscribed, I am not sure why
ОтветитьAs with most things now its all about raising money and something we are all expected to pay, and then its OK for them but not for all of us and small business that are struggling lets brush them aside. I'm told a chap is running a diesel Peugeot which has covered 176000miles with no road tax because it is so clean yet can't go in the ulez zone is that correct? however I don't think any car should run without road tax, especially that sort of mileage. We live just outside the zone at Dartford, and every afternoon there is a constant stream of planes going to Docklands Airport ,do planes not pollute? Yes I agree we all need better air quality ,but what about the Dartford Tunnel, ah lets not mention that! I think this could be called the USELESS zone ,to remind us of the people who thought of it and also seem to run the country!
ОтветитьWhat a total waste of perfectly good vehicles. Apart from the emotional side and as you rightly point out waste of resources ! I would like to know how much materials were recycled from these vehicles ? I would like a comparison made as to whether or not the environmental cost of what is recycled is anything like the environmental cost of all the materials that go into making vehicles in the first place ? My gut feeling is that I bet it isn’t ?
Ответитьimagine owing a classic that you dedicated your life to restoring... only for it to be snatched because it's not 'environmentally friendly'
ОтветитьIt’s show that this ULEZ scheme is a big tax scam.
It ok to drive these vehicles in Ukraine but not in London, it doesn’t matter where the vehicles is driven will make no difference to pollution to the planet.
In fact we need more carbon for plants & trees to keep supplying the masses increase of population that our past & present useless governments has allowed in the UK.
Now with the Green Mad Miliband filling the field with solar panels, they will either kill us off by lack of food or oxygen.
The green energy is the biggest scam ever been dreamed up.
The political elite fell for it hook, line & sinker & the people are paying the price for it, scandalous.
This is absolutely maddening, so many classic's and potential classic's squandered. It's not just the waste but the idiocy of the people scrapping vehicles of which value often far exceeded £2K - this being the case why not let somebody else have the pleasure of ownership. Who watching this video wouldn't jump at the chance to get their hands on one of these beauties or at least know someone who would?!
A sad video sir but thankyou for posting.
I agree with you about the heritage and also think scrappage is a disgusting waste of resource. Where is the common sense in this?
ОтветитьWell it makes the ones that remain more valuable and anyway all they are is load of old cars !!
ОтветитьElectric cars aren't clean if you buy one your not saving the planet it's a load of bollocks all about ££££££
ОтветитьIronically, most of the cars lost to the scrappage scheme would be in auctions now as desirable wanted cars. Especially those that have hit the 40 year old rule and for which are exempt from road tax and ULEZ.
ОтветитьSo it’s alright to cause ‘climate change’ with older cars in Ukraine, but not allowed for us here in Britain? Hmm 🤔
ОтветитьI read previously that Sadiq Khan was sending them all to Ukraine, not scrapping them at all.
Which of course is crazy because Ukraine is also on this planet and quite close in Europe so there so called polluting emissions are still polluting the planet. This just shows this is all just a climate scam and even the cars that are replacing them are manufactured in China using the most polluting industries in the world.
To participate in ULEZ scheme is an offer that most of affected people have been accepting and signing to it. They have registered on TFL corporate website and have all agreed to become "road users". According T&C of the contract with corporation TFL they either scrapped their old "non compline" car or keep paying the fee to use the roads. Everything in this commercial activity is voluntary, although some mistakenly assume they had to agree with the offer and had no choice.
ОтветитьI think these people have brain damage to scrap a car for peanuts.
ОтветитьCelicas were great - still hanging on to mine
ОтветитьSad Khan said pollution is down.
Bromley council has said its worse who is right?
Sad is the people that scrapped all the great classics .
ОтветитьThey ain't having my classic Mini (Agnes) she's my daily drive & I love her 💚
ОтветитьThe passion for old vehicles is being destroyed by filling the roads with identical dull blobs and the skills needed to preserve older vehicles are just disappearing.
ОтветитьI adopted/rescued a 1999 s type 4.0 with 49k one owner first time and a 2003 Nissan x trail 2.5 with 29k miles for the second round.
Still have them both.
The plan is to destroy anything that can be repaired and replace with limited lifespan tech junk.
Feels like they are Destroying our culture world spins
ОтветитьThat's depressing
ОтветитьI read somewhere that electric car sales are going really badly people just dont want them. And they dont hold their resale value? And that electric cars are being targeted by Vandals. Like the ULEZ cameras are In protest against people who are buying them. And helping The globalist Agenda to control us. Imagine if it carries on like this and the Insurance companies just wont touch them 😮 Then what?
ОтветитьTotal insanity ⚠️
Sadiq khan should be scrapped
Cars, like Lexus, Toyota, Honda, the rest can be scrapt, they are real shitty cars or real money pits, and all Chinese cars, including Ev's are not worth it untill now., or rhe spare parts are missing.
ОтветитьBlame Khan ... the utter bastard!!!!
ОтветитьI`m going through your list now.. Horrific... As someone who`s taken literally hundreds of thousands of pictures of London's older car stock over the last 18 years (many of which I`ve put on Flickr), I quite likely took pictures of quite a few of them, so I feel like I`m in mourning..
Some rarer retro`s you missed, A ULEZ exempt Leyland Princess (!) Citroen 2CV, & an AX GT, classic Panda`s & an Uno, a Tipo, dozens of Mk1 Punto`s (including a Bertone cabrio), a couple each of original Mk1 Brava`s & Bravo`s & a Marea Weekend, Mk2 & 3 Cavaliers, Loads of black cabs, including a Fairway FX4, LOADS of E30`s & E36`s, some E28`s & E34`s, some Merc W123`s, loads of W124`s, most of those will have been worth more than the 2 grand on offer.. I despair at peoples logic sometimes..
What doesn't make sense to me is that some of the cars on the list are actually ULEZ compliant, so, how did they go through the ULEZ scrappage scheme?!? Also, You can pretty much guarantee that a lot of the cars there, especially the diesel Hyundai`s & Kia`s etc, were quite likely what the owners of the 2009 scrappage scheme victims "upgraded" to, I`d imagine many of those cars were OAP owned, & a good percentage probably hadn't even done 50,000 miles (like many of the OAP owned cars I`ve seen vanish in the last year, I`ve checked thousands of their MOT`s, many weren't even doing 1000 miles a year & had little if any MOT advisories ever).. That level of waste is frankly vile..
Ulez not going very well from what I hear 👂. The money runs into millions at a loss😅
ОтветитьLet's go green government should build tran systems in every city in preparation for the future. No plan for this however. We are heading to a lockdiwn. Public transport is broken and there's no plan to improve and develop it. The only solution being sought is private evs which 80 percent of drivers don't want. Let's campaign for more public tram systems in all UK cities.
ОтветитьJust shows ulez is a money making scam if they are sending polluting cars to Ukraine they are just moving the pollution to another country . The last scrapage scheme took a lot of classics of the road and there are thousands of them just sitting on old airfields rotting away that could of been saved its ridiculous that good cars are being scrapped to make way for pathetic evs that aren't fit for purposes 😮
ОтветитьYou be wise to keep your old cars going. As the prices will rise on old cars, because of this net zero.
And the push for EVs that nobody wants and dam expensive for what they are, and the lack of electricity out there it’s gonna be fun not.
Wouldn't it be nice if those people who were scammed into letting their cars go for well below their actual value could make a legal claim against TFL for what was obviously an unfair contract.
ОтветитьSome crazy people getting rid of such quality cars. That were well made. Unlike the crap they’ve just purchased that won’t last more than a few years the engines will blow up all these turbocharged cars four cylinders, are not worth the money sensors galore much plastic it’s all gonna fail badly.
ОтветитьNoticed this was added to Dialy express today
ОтветитьThe Punkawallah Mayor of Londonstan is clearing London's roads to make way for all the
Holy Cows which are on their way to Britain ~ JELDI JELDI KHAN.
I think it’s a crying shame that we have lost some iconic cars. Would it not have been better to let breakers dismantle the car and just scrap the shell?
ОтветитьHopefully most of these cars will be preserved by people with foresight who are not cursed by the cast of Khan....
ОтветитьWho on earth would be dim enough to ditch cars like these?
ОтветитьI was dreading hearing about the Honda CRX, I had a couple... mk1 and 2 😭
ОтветитьWhy are so many people gullible as fuck😡
ОтветитьOne big problem now is replacement parts. Just one example (not even a classic) I have one of the last Astra vans 2011, 1.7 cdti as my second van for small jobs or if I have to do long runs and don't need much equipment.
I love the van and it's never wanted for anything maintenance wise and is in great condition. It's fast and super economical, I can do Yorkshire to Canterbury and back in 6th gear on less than a £70 single tank.
I took it in last year for it's MOT and it needed a new mid section on the exhaust.
As it was a later model H van they had put a modified Astra J engine in it and no one could get the part, I searched everywhere online and no luck.
They only make replacements for the more abundant older models up to 2008 (for now) which is a different size.
The only place that would touch it was one of the boy racer mod garages.
They were helpful and made me a section up quickly but could only do it in stainless steel and it cost me £600.
With all the clean air zones the van is probably only really worth about a £1000 now.
It does leave you in a difficult situation when you don't use it as a main vehicle and the prices are plummeting, plus the rising road tax, insurance and then the low emission charges if I go in many cities.
Anymore bills like that and the only real choice will be sending it to the scrapyard.
This is still quite a newish and common vehicle from a major manufacturer on the road, I can't imagine the headache, cost of owning and maintaining some of the cars you listed in these times.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
Can someone explain to me why these beautiful cars cannot be purchased (through dealers)by people who are not likely to stray into an ultra low emission zone?
ОтветитьEngland - can it get any worse.
Ответить
