Suze Orman is such a shill. Her advice is a mile wide and a centimeter deep. The ONLY way to truly get control of your finances for good is to: 1) organize them, 2) get on a written budget 3) get out of debt (debt snowball method) and 4) hyper-increase your savings rate and move into a financially independent posture. It's gotta be a simple, clear, "change your behavior" plan. If it were a math problem, we'd all be financially set by Sunday afternoon. @t

Interesting. We all know most of us HAVE to rent. No choice. And so now, after an eternity of financial advisors accurately telling us that renting is a waste, she says renting is ok. It's not really. She just knows we have no choice so she SAYS it's ok. Rent is totally money thrown out the window. I have rented for over twenty years and so have thrown $200,000 out the window. Homeowners hang onto that. I as a renter have lost that. So no suze, renting is not ok. It's just not an optional thing for most of us.

Suze statements and behaviour is clearly ‘misleading and deceptive conduct’. Her selling of those dodgy cards and stock portfolios ideas was positively shonky. The idea of investing in Treasury bills at 0.1% is ludicrous.

I own 4-Rental Houses where I get monthly Rent and I would like to know if I can reduce that 3yrs of savings as I have the Rents!
