Wow I didn't know I was capable of getting this emotional in 47 seconds.
ОтветитьNow that's a call.
ОтветитьThe best sports call of all time. "Do you believe in Miracles" sounds very boring now. I could listen to this over and over. I wish someone had a better version to post.
ОтветитьShe found something inside her to push out that win. Way to go Jessie!
ОтветитьThis still makes me tear up. Greatest Olympic call ever!
ОтветитьChad Salmela needs to work on being an objective announcer. LOL
ОтветитьTwo years later that call still gives me chills and what an accomplishment for Team USA. Well deserved and well earned. 👍🥶⛷🏅
ОтветитьAs a Norwegian, I'm spoiled when it comes to cross country skiing wins, so my competitive heart started looking for another team to root for. And in Val di Fiemme 2013, I found it in the US team. When I saw Jessie Diggins win that gold medal with a broken ski pole, I knew this was the team I wanted to root for. Never in my life have I screamed louder than I did for Jessie in that team sprint finish, and never was a gold medal more deserved, or more important. Seeing Kikkan finally get that gold medal, with Jessie, this moment could not be more perfect. And to prove it's not some one-off, Jessie keeps on fighting, having won the prestigious Tour de Ski trophy as the first non-European ever.
Am I gonna continue to cheer for my country's rivals? You betcha! And I hope the US XC skiing team will deliver for many seasons to come.
I remember flipping through all the stations and landing on these two commentators hooked me right in. Thankfully I got to watch this live, and I will never forget this
ОтветитьDIGGINS! Build her a statue goddamnit
ОтветитьThis is what will be said on Jessie Diggins's wedding day as she walks down the aisle.
ОтветитьI come back here every so often to get my teary-eyed, adrenaline dose of "HERE COMES DIGGINS!!!"
I don't think we'll see this kind of amazing finish by the Americans in a looooong time and it's one I'll never forget. Such an amazing win.
I almost forgot to watch this today
ОтветитьYES! YES! YES! YES! ......GOLD!!!!
Iconic
Why can’t every sports caster be this good?
ОтветитьI've watched this a dozen times and it makes me laugh and cry each time. 99 percent of the time you want a calm announcer. This is an example of the other 1%. That was an 11 on the Richter scale.
ОтветитьI remember watching this one live and this has got to be one of the best calls I've seen. Even Gus Johnson can't get that hyped
ОтветитьI got to see this live and was screaming my throat off along with the sports casters! 🤣
ОтветитьI’m back. I watch this monthly. Same effect every time. Goosebumps. Increased heart rate. Fantastic.
ОтветитьWho's here after finding NBC's official video of this finish was less than exciting due to the announcing?
Ответить“It’s not just a medal it’s the gold!!!!!!!!!”
ОтветитьGotta revisit … love it sooooo much!!!!! Go diggins
ОтветитьWatching this race live the finish was one of the most unforgettable sporting events I have seen in any sport. Unbelievable call, phenomenal race, I got emotional at the time and remembering this call and this moment in 2021 is what brought me here today, out of the blue, simply wanting to see it again. It won't be the last time. An absolute all time sporting moment, particularly for fans of team USA.
ОтветитьI’m not crying, you’re crying
Ответитьabsolute brilliance
ОтветитьThat’s an analyst! Expertise, passion and enthusiasm. Sensational call.
Should be required viewing for analysts sportswide.
I’ve listened to this well over 300 times. It’s my all time favorite.
ОтветитьHERE COMES DIGGINS! HERE COMES DIGGINS! I watched this live and I will never forget it.
ОтветитьThe USA has the best announcers in every Olympic sport. 100% passion for whatever who cares event. They make it so much fun.
ОтветитьMan, I want to hear more of the call! I want to hear Chad’s commentary from the beginning to the very end! I never thought I would be so excited watching a Cross Country Ski race, but here I am!
ОтветитьHERE COMES DIGGINS!
I’m watching this the night of the Opening Ceremonies 4 years later.
Great call. But do you believe in miracles still number 1
ОтветитьCame back here for this call after seeing Diggins' individual bronze today -- it's still amazing. Was reminded of an underrated remarkable part earlier on when Samela sets the stage by screaming at the top of his lungs "THEY'RE ALL COMPLETELY GASSED . . . THEY'VE GIVEN IT ALL ON THE KLAEBOBAKKEN!!!" Probably the first and last time that sentence has been uttered in the English language, and absolutely the perfect thing to say at the time.
ОтветитьI watched this live and till this day will remember the voice of the broadcaster “HERE COMES DIGGINS” history.
ОтветитьThis and Jason Lezak's anchor leg for the men's US 2008 medley team are all time epic finishes.
ОтветитьI’ll have what he’s having.
ОтветитьIt’s amazing how us humans love being competitive
ОтветитьUp there with do you believe in miracles. Jessie Diggins is it national treasure. What a cutie pie
ОтветитьFortunately this didn't happen during Covid and people got to be there.
ОтветитьWhat a legend!! Just won the silver in the 30km. Best American cc skier ever.
Ответить"Here comes Diggins! HERE COMES DIGGINS!!" is in the top two most iconic Winter Olympics calls of all time, right up there with Al Michaels' "Do you believe in miracles?!"
ОтветитьPure Greatness
ОтветитьThis was a great Olympic moment on its own but the call just makes it epic
ОтветитьSometimes my family just watches this in the mornings to get ready for our day. My 6 and 8 year old daughters know the audio by heart
ОтветитьThis is the 3rd sequel in PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics.
ОтветитьAbsolute Brilliance
ОтветитьOne of the greatest calls, ever. One guy delivering the emotion, screaming "Here come Diggins! Here comes Diggins!" nd the other delivering near poetry, "Sweden, the U.S, and Norway come into the light!" Just incredible. It makes sports beautiful.
ОтветитьHere comes Diggins! Here comes Diggins! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! GOLD!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe greatest call of all time.
