Kurt Lischka was responsible for organizing the arrest, deportation, and extermination of Jews in Nazi-occupied France, leading to the murder of 33,000 people. After the war though, he was released by Czech authorities in 1950 and lived a prosperous life in West Germany as a businessman.
Serge and Beate Klarsfeld, a French-Jewish couple, who dedicated their lives to bringing Nazi war criminals to justice start to track down Lischka in what would become a 9-year long relentless pursuit to bring justice to victims of the Holocaust.
